British Ambassador in Argentina Sir Robin Christopher said he was “certain” that British investments will return to Argentina.

"There are always investment opportunities", indicated Sir Robin recalling that the United Kingdom invests all around the world.

"This is so when there are good chances" and "I'm sure in the future there will be opportunities" added Sir Robin during a visit to the city of Córdoba for the launching of a program that supports unemployed teenagers.

Talking with the local press Sir Robin said he would like to see more British companies investing in Argentina, as well as Argentine companies investing in Britain, "but we have to wait and see what happens".

Regarding "specific operations" in Argentina the British ambassador was more philosophical and indicated that "countries have difficult moments, and opportunities pass and then they come back".

"I'm sure British investments will return to Argentina some day".

Sir Robin Christopher leaves his post in Buenos Aires next October and earlier this week expressed a certain disappointment about the current bilateral situation, particularly regarding agreements involving the Falkland Islands.
