The Falklands War: 1982, costing 44,95 US dollars is the name of the video game recently launched in the United States by Shrapnel Games and which considers different battle scenarios of the South Atlantic conflict between Argentina and the United Kingdom.
Described by the Argentine media as a military strategy and simulation game developed by ProSIM, headed by former US artillery officer Gary Bezant, it reproduces eight of the most important land battles and ten possible hypothetical scenarios with different results.
"The software was designed for strategy specialists and not necessarily the general public", comments La Nacion adding that it includes historic comments written "professionally and quite dispassionately, although clearly from British sources".
Apparently no soldiers appear on the screen or low flying Mirages, but rather topographic maps, changing meteorological conditions plus the different forces capable of engaging in combat.
