A second Madonna show with her Sticky and Sweet tour has been confirmed in Santiago de Chile for December 11. Her first presentation is scheduled for Wednesday December 10 and for both shows there will no special ticket pre-sale, with a maximum of six per person. Sales begin next September 10.
But controversy is mounting as the "Sticky and Sweet" tour moves from country to country, from continent to continent. According to reports in London's The Mirror her crew members are furious and are threatening to strike or simply walk out because of the diva's poor treatment, almost disrespect for them. While Madonna stayed in a £11,000-a-night castle after her recent show in France, some of the 250 staff on the tour claims they are being treated like "second class citizens" after being given cheap hotel accommodation. A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Everyone is absolutely furious with her and some of them want to walk out of the tour. They feel they are being treated like second-class citizens, despite all their hard work over the last few months". "To make matters worse, they are being forced to stay in horrible places and fly on cheap low-cost flights, while she has the lap of luxury. Several are already talking about walking if things don't improve." "Trouble has been brewing for a few months in the Madonna camp, especially since all the claims that her marriage was in crisis". In contrast to her staff, Madonna, 50, flew with her family – husband Guy Ritchie, 39, daughter Lourdes, 11, and sons Rocco, 8 and David, 2, by private jet to the 11th century Chateau Saint Jeannet Madonna made a series of demands for the Nice show including a helicopter to take her from the stage back to the castle. The "Give it to Me" singer also kept a team of 12 staff on hand including six beauticians, her own chef and chiropractor. After the show, Sir Elton John and his "husband" David Furnish were invited back to the chateau. Meanwhile, Madonna stunned staff at Schoenefeld airport in Germany - after the Berlin show in the tour, by going through security checks wearing a fluffy white bathrobe and black trainers. However a spokesperson for the diva pointed out that "she's 50 years old and it's surprising enough that she's even touring like she is at her age, let alone having all the backup dancers that go with her routine. If they really think she's about to befriend all of them and treat them like they're on her level, they're crazy". On Monday evening Madonna appeared cool and calm with husband Guy Ritchie at the premiere of his new film "RocknRolla" in London. Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone is scheduled to act at London's Wembley Stadium on September 11 and Paris on September 20. From there, she flies to North America in October (with no Arizona stops) before wrapping in South America São Paulo, Rio do Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. Tickets for the Chile shows can be purchased www.ticketmaster.cl or Call Center 6902000.
