There is a vast diffecrence between the German and the Chinese exports. While the German products are usually of superb quality both in design and craftmanship, the Chinese products are shoddy and made of low quality materials. Further, Germany designs some of the most advanced products in the world. The Chinese limit themselves to assembling products designed elsewhere or, more often, to produce low quality copies of those products. I would rather buy a German product knowing that it is well designed and will last a long time.
