So please come off it!

Marine biologist Mike Bingham claims that in 1982 the Penguin population in the Falkland Islands was six million, however twenty years later and as a direct consequence of the indiscriminate fisheries policy of the Islands government, only 600,000 are left.
Bingham is a fraud who does hold no qualifications, other than the Dr title he bought for $1500 from a place called Shellbourne University. You may want to read his PhD thesis, all of 14 pages!
Sep 03rd, 2009 - 02:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Typically, after having been exposed in the islands as a fraud he was welcomed into SA, and apparently now works in Argentina, although I believe that even there they now tire of him!

Sep 03rd, 2009 - 03:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0I see they are still raising Bingham to claim that the FIG is irresponsible. As the article above shows (in this edition by the way), the cause of the decline in Penguin numbers was well known and explainable. Had nothing to do with what Bingham claimed.
sounds like we have different views about this. I am not living in Argentina but i hope the Government will take action about their sea because it is another source for food.
