Sep 14th, 2009 - 09:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0so... Rio#1..Baires #10....ok?
Stanley isn´t the sadest city...only because it is not a city... perhaps it can qualify for the sadest village in the world.
Stanley is a city - definition of city(british at least) is that you have a cathedral - which we do. We are I think the smallest population city in the world, saddest- I doubt it probably that one is around Chernobyl ,but Ok we sure cannot rival Rio or BA.
Sep 16th, 2009 - 05:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0I guess that they didn't interview all the millions living in the slums, nor the drug addicts. I wonder if they are very happy. And Stanley folk are really sad.... at persistent obnoxious comments by nitwits like nitrojuan. You should come and have a look here sometime chay
Sep 16th, 2009 - 06:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0I would like to go and visit StanleyCity but I can´t JoJo; I´m not welcome there. Remember the phrase writen in the walls of the Port.
Sep 16th, 2009 - 08:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Rio consumes several tons of cocaine per day... that keeps them happy I guess. I lived and worked there and apparently did not get my fair share of sex or drugs, so I was not happy. I found it to be crowded, smelly with human waste and a bit like New Orleans.. Simply a state of mind, you go there to get drunk and party, so who cares if you are walking in human urine and dog poo...
Sep 16th, 2009 - 11:24 am - Link - Report abuse 0Welkin, If you choose to visit (its your right as a tourist), you will find that people DO NOT make you unwelcome here. Argentine visitors are treated as any other. However, if you choose to promote a political agenda whilst here, you will find that most if not all people will not be impressed, and of course the reception will be different.
Sep 16th, 2009 - 10:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I'm not sure what phrase on the walls of Stanley you are referring to.
the phrase??...well you are not from the falklands if you don´t know what I´m talking about.
Sep 16th, 2009 - 11:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I´m refering to the phrase writen on the walls that says argies you will be welcome to the falklands when you drop your claim....so as I don´t drop my claim I´m not welcome there.
Welkin, You should realise that this phrase you are referring too is behind the window of someone who also was against the 1999 agreement. Most people here have different views than the one expressed behind this window. In any case, you can have a different view, but still visit. Its not as if we arrest people for thinking different....
