Argentine president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner said that one day this century an Argentine president will be able to visit the Malvinas Islands to homage the Argentine soldiers who died in the war with Britain 27 years ago and are buried in the Falklands.

Mrs. Kirchner was addressing the Malvinas Families at the Rio Gallegos airport Saturday morning minutes before 165 of them left for the Falklands for the official inauguration of the Memorial at the Argentine cemetery in Darwin.

“One day in this century, an Argentine president will be able to visit the Islands to homage our brave boys” she underlined.

With tears in her eyes she added: “I want to tell you all that you will not only see your dead but also our dead, because your dead are also ours”. She added “40 million Argentines are supporting you”.

Mrs. Kirchner also urged Great Britain to “respect multilateral agreements” in reference to different resolutions of the United Nations and OAS calling for a peaceful negotiated solution to the sovereignty dispute over “the anachronic British colonial enclave” in Argentine territory.

“I prefer to wait, in the name of International Law, in the name of our legitimate unrenounceable rights over our Malvinas and in the name of peace, which must rule the world. Glory and Honour to our fallen in Malvinas”

Foreign Minister Carlos Taiana and the governor of the province of Santa Cruz, Daniel Peralta also participated in the ceremony.

The Argentine government will have to improve its attitude towards the Islanders a good deal if a President will ever be allowed to visit! Well done to the Falklanders for their continued kind and compassionate attitude towards the Next of Kin - now lets see some similarly grown up behaviour from the Argentine government

Whoever you are, you didn't understand argentine president's words. She meant one day, one president will be there as a president of those islands too. None president will go there if they have to get a permission before.
I'd would like to say that I watched all the ceremony broadcasted live from darwin at c5n news channel and I'm glad that all the people who e-mailed and posted comments on c5n webpage were supporting the national claim as usual. Happiness for the families, but bitterness and almost hateness towards the british.
By the way, you need to grow up. One day you'll see the light.
    Cheers.

one day argentina will learn that it has the ultimate weapon at its disposal - time.
Simply negotiate an accord with our friends in south america and impose a total embargo on the Falklands.
Absolutely no contact by air or by sea.
The Falklands will be forced to beg the british taxpayer to pay for regular air and sea services and economic support.
the islands are british so let the british support them.
A total embargo and we have all the time in the world.
Five years and the falklands will be happy for the president of Argentina to visit.
