What a shame for that organization to be backing, endorsing and lifting to its rows a man responsible for multiple violations to Human Rights during Honduras' crisis. Seems like in the ideology of such organization, the humane value doesn't count at all.

Bob, for the mayority of hondurans, there wasn't a “Coup d'État”. But, I imaging your are talking about countries like Iran, Cuba, North Corea, Venezuela, Comunist China, etc, were there realy exist dictatorship. In Honduras, we want the elections, those Zelaya wanted to stop, because he decided to change the constitution only because he decided he need it to stay more time. Sometimes, the people in the left think they have the truth, they are the solution for the humankind, but the are more fashist than Musolini. You must find information of two sides, then make conclusions.

Micheletti is a hero, today my beloved Honduras is free of a communist dictatorship a la Chavez, thanks to our CONSTITUTIONAL president Roberto Micheletti. Our constitution does not allow criminals like Zelaya get their way. Those, who still believe Zelaya is a victim, are pitiful ignorants who, clearly, have never read our constitution as to see that Zelaya's removal is completely LEGAL, whether they like it or not.

Fernando, waldina, your conclusions fails to all reasons. It is obviously that your definition of a dictatorship is based on your idealogical side, not in facts.
A “Coup d' État” its a de facto situation. Some guy you dont know and didnt voted, takes charge of the nation by force. no matter if the president was communist, jews, fasist, capitalist, catolic, etc.

Fernando, i know Chavez is very extremist, but im amazed that you put him on the dictators list while he was elected democratically and was again voted in a referendum. Perhaps you dont remember that he was almost killed by a failed “Coup d' État” that curiosly was recognized inmediatly by the US as a new government.
So for you a dictatorship is legal if its economy is based on capitalism. Ergo If the president, democratically elected is communist or socialist, its government is illegal and go to the dictator list. What a simple mind you have.
You should realize that the president represent the people of the nation, not you or me alone.
So if the president ideas are communist or socialist it means that most of the nation likes those ideas. If the president act against the law, he must be faced to trials, giving him the right to defend himself.
Im really sorprised how nations takes recognition to this micheletti dictator.

The decision of the Liberal International to support Micheletti and to recognise the elections in Honduras next week is a clear and dramatic call for the eradication of democracy in our planet. People with sincere democratic values, from leftists to christian-democrats or conservatives...Including true liberals (!), should stand together against these attempts of killing democracy. If the Honduran elections next week are recognised considering the current situation, the International community will not only legitimate one Coup d'Etat, it will also legitimate all the next Coup d'Etats that would occur in the future in any other country of the world, including in Europe. Mr Hans Van Baalen, by recognising the next Honduran elections and by accusing the democratically elected president Zelaya of violating the Honduran constitution, you are insulting the liberal thought, the European Parliament, as well as the entire EU entity.
