If the UK is bankrupt the why are our Gilts still AAA rated. Argentines are the last people on earth to give economic advise. You are trying to raid your central bank to pay creditors and are struggling to put together a debt restructuring programme. Do your research. BTW oil was found and recovered in Falkland waters (RKH currently operates on these areas and is next to drill) and with oil above $70 is a very attractive prospect. I am now waiting for the usual reply “ pirates” etc.

As a career academic I choose not to base my conclusions on a single source of information. If the UK was bankrupt than all of my investments in the City of London would be worthless. Considering I have over 80% growth in the last year (on my equities) then I suggest that your conclusion is pretty inacurate.
Are UK glits AAA rated? Yes and this observation gives an indication of the stability of the UK economy. This is more than I can say for the Argentine economy which is the battered boy of South America and is consistently damaged by poor managment and leadership. The Argentine govermennet has now resorted to threats to companies that have no actual business interests in Argentina (mining giant BHP is the clear example). Talk about supporting private enterprise for the benefit of Argentines; really this is shooting yourself in the foot.
Anyway, I again expect the usual clever responses of “pirates” or because you have no credible reply to my conclusions why not just shout “Malvinas son Argentinas”. This will clearly confirm you have the intelectual capacity of an Ameoba.

Not only do you comments lack any academic reasoning but they are also vert strangely articulated. You appear to be obsessed with PUNKS. Is this a sexual fetish or do you need to refer to a dictionary.
I will continue to pump my money into equites and gilts in the City of London but wouldn't dream about putting any of my hard earned cash into Argentine business (there are easier ways to lose your capital).
I will be contiuing to grow and develop my career to be a very sucessful academic who is able to command a very good wage etc. I adivse you to gain some additional more education/training because it appears you have been let down by your countires educational establishment. Based on the students I teach a good number of South Americans appear to like UK Universities as well as taking their cash out of South America to deposit in the UK while they have the chance.
Who cares about the UK? How much money is invested in the London Stock Exchange compared to the Argentine equity markets. This will give you a good indication about how many people care about the UK compered to the pathetic sums that are invested in Argentina.
Feel free to continue the insults as it appears that this is the best response you can offer.

The UK has never ever defaulted on a bond or gilt since they were initially invented by the Bank of England. Take a look at the bond ratings and you can clearly see which is the more stable investment. In conclusion you are plain and simply wrong on every account and your responses and insults confi this. He earned respect that day even if he was the enemy. He died alongside his radio operator calling in mortors on the paras. A lot of people remember his name!

if the Falklands become Malvinas, it would be at the consent of the people, in which case there would be no arguement, the fact that You are advocating un-democratic imperialist takeover without the consent of the people.
But anyway Argentina is more likely to break up into at least 4 different states than for them to get their grubby hands on the islands
