BUBBA, i rode many of your comments, and some times i think you are right with your assertions, but in many others oportunitys, you just shown how ignorant you are, your biggest problem is that you dont like the k, and you lack so much of objetivity.
I recognize that the k made many mistakes, in fact they are not the government that i want for my country, but i must recognize too, like me or not, that we had many achievements since 2003.
On the other hand, when i see all the rest of the politic partys, i terrify my self, most them joined diferents governments that broke the country more than once, they are even much worst than the k, the only good perspective for the 2011 elections, are the socialists politicians, they have a great project for argentina, they are really a new option, i dont want to go back to the past, those corrupters (politicians who joined diferents governments), are just funtional to the powerfull corporations from the country.
I understand that as a falkland islander, you have reasons to hate the k, in fact in some aspects i dont agree with their policy about the dispute, there are many things that you dont know, because you dont live here, you should heard what we have to heard everyday from all the politicians, what you reed in the newspapers, is just one side from our reality, if you want to talk about argentina, you should be more objetive, specially if you are going to be argentine in a couple of years, like you told me once.

And after milking the Malvinist card for all it's worth she climbs the poll by a massive 7%, the final card has been played! perhaps it's starting to happen? Argentines are getting so profoundly fed up with the rhetoric of confrontation, they're going the way of spain over Gibraltar? cannot bothered.

Well with the exception of Jorge who drinks it for all it's worth.

Axel grease, I am an expat US citizen. I lived in Argentina for 6 years. My wife and son are Argentines. I dislike the K's specifically King Nestor K because when he had the chance to manage the economic recovery starting in 2003, and he and his crappy croney government sat back, took bribes and let the finances run themselves. In the process he claimed all the accolades for the recovery, when in fact it was the pueblo working from the bottom of the well and pulling themselves up. A little judicious temperance in the finacnial sector would have lessened the impact the most recent global recession and prevented the majority of the investment flight to Uruguay. Take Chile for example, they have a well managed and policed financial system. They have a well tuned fiduciary vision and put controls in place to assure the peaks and vallies are evened out. Argentina under the K's is a reactionary form of a populist decree government. Good examples are Nestors destruction of the beef export business and his refusal to address the petrolem sindicatos in the runup to the election of his queen, Cristinsa, which hastened the flight of IOC's from the exploration and production business.. And this all the while, while the royal couple compounded their personal wealth buy hook and crook and at the expense of the Argentine people. Short version, they have been alomst as destructive as the Perons.. so yes I really dislike them.

Glad you can copy and paste my Jorge, as seemingly you do the same thing with your opinions!
Don't worry Jorge, forces are in motion and soon the veil that has Blinded Argentina for 7 decades will be lifted and the Falklands shall at last be liberated from the shadow of brutal expantionist ambitions of successive right wing and natioanlist governments in Argentina.

All it requires if for people (like in the UK) to think for themselves with the evidence provided and come to their own conclusion, seeing as most of the evidence in Argentina coming from the otherside is ommitted or twisted we can assume this process may take 20 years, thus by 2033 like I predicted Falklands Son Falklands :)

The 21st Century is an enlightened place and the UK and the Falklands hold out the hand of friendship to those less democratically able than ourselves.

BUBBA, grease and ignorant as usuall, i know perfectly everything you said in your comment, what i criticise from you, and from others people like you, is that you only see the bad aspects form argentina, the k made many big mistakes, in fact, i want the 2011 to come the soonest possible and choose another authority, anyway i must recognize that in spite of all the mistakes they made, there was also a great progress for the country in many aspects, i will give a short version too.
Nestor kirchner derogated the pardons for the torturers form the last militar dictatorship, many of them are being judged right now.
He canceled the debt with imf in december of 2005, we are much more independent now, we are not a pseudo colony from the imf like we used to be during many years.
Since 2003 more than 700 schools were built in the whole country.
There was a great increase for the budgets of science and technology in a progresive way in the last 7 years.
Thousands of argentine scientists who were working in the rest of world for the lack of oportunitys in argentina, came back to the country, and they develop their knowleadges here, as you know, the science and technology is the most important for everycountry.
On the other hand, our povertys line in 2003 was of 53%, and the unemploitment level was 22%, now we have 33% of poors and 10% of unemploit people, as you can see, we are still a very unequal society, but i am sure we will improve much more in the future, (this numbers belong to private stadistics, i dont beleive in the indec neather).
Beside in 2003 we had 8000 thousands millions of reserves, now we have 47 thousands millions, it's a record.
There is much more to tell you, but i have no time, moreover of all this progress that we had, i dont want a govermenment that counterfeit the public stadistics, i dont want neather a government hat is suspected of corruption cases, i want a transparent government, it's not an utopy, alfonsin was a transparent person.

BUBBA, i continue, alfonsin left a great legacy of honesty to all of us, he was a true statist.
About peron, with what you said, you confirm one more time how ignorant you are, i recognize that peron was demagogue and authoritarian, but no one made as much as him for the poors and the workers, before him, those people had nothing, it's not true what you say that he only gave shoes and candys to them, and people finally voted him, in that time, and during 30 years, the middle class represented the 50% of the national rent, peron is actually the father of the middle class, that's why many people still admire hes policy, i am not peronist, i'm socialist, but i just want to be objetive, i insist that this is something that you should do too, specially if you are going to be argentine in a couple of years.
