it is a shame that the Argentine trawlers that regularly fish a mile inside Falkland waters do not get arrested. It is almost amusing that a boat with a small bit of squid is arrested when the official attitude of Argentina is to overfish the South Atlantic simply to try and bankrupt the Falklands!

Ah Fred, but that's them pissing in what they are claiming is their pool, so it's all OK. Other people obviously aren't allowed to...

I assume it's a North Korean vessel looking at the state of it. I'm amazed it could get that far without sinking.

There is no such thing as “falkland waters”. You ¿control? that part of the argentine sea by militar means without the consent of Argentina, besides what proofs do you have of argentine vessels fishing in that zone?
What we do in our waters with our fish is not of your(british) business.
One day islanders will meet reality, fish stock in that part of our sea is constantly coming from and to the islands sea. Fishing in the south of Argentina represent a very small almost irrelevant part of the overall argentine economy, but it is fundamental to the islands'. Islanders will see the light one day, hopefully will not be too late.
As for the Korean vessel, all of them are in poor conditions. I saw one of them in the local port arrested. It was disgusting, not higienic at all!!!

The Falkland Islands have territorial waters just like any other country and don't require anyone's 'consent' to police them or operate those waters to their own advantage. Argentina can do the same within its waters!

The sale of fishing licences is of economic importance to the islanders, although a half decent oil find would reduce the need.

Oh really Jorge. No such thing as Falkland waters...

Maybe according to the official Argentine version of things, but the rest of the world recognises those waters as Falkland waters. Argentina should too, since Argentina signed and ratified UNCLOS. It's funny how often you say we should “respect” UN resolutions, but when Argentina signs a UN agreement and then proceeds to completely ignore it you think that is OK?

Is it because you are too stupid to realise that you are having the wool pulled over your eyes by your own government...

Jorge the Bobo said: “Those are our islands, then our water. End of story!”

Funny how Argentina is the only country which thinks that... and you the perfectly brainwashed Argentine.

And please don't tell us that half the world supports you, when even your closest neighbours cannot put that support into writing...

Port Desire was, is and will be British!

Malvinas => Part of Tierra del Fuego Province, its capital is Ushuaia. I hope to have been useful for you to know a little part of Argentina. :-)

Georgy boy, assuming you live in Ushuaia then pop along to the jolly old war museum old chap and have a look in the Falklands war section and you will see that almost all of the names are the proper, that is British names for the locations within the Islands. Surprising I know but true.

By Agent parrot you are doing a marvelous job! Who would be stupid to declare them part of Argentina's waters when Argentines never go there?

And say that with 2 ships the UK and the Falklanders keep 40,000 km2 by military force truly amazing!

Brilliant that you can actually pretend that an Argentines skull is so full of horse shite that he truly beleives that an area not recognised under international as their territory and whose government in the last 180 years has been unable to pass any legislation on the islands, is in fact their islands.

agent Parrot you sir are the best who would ever beleive in a million years that an Argentine can be such a thick racist imperialist twat, with such logic pretending to be peddled by Argentines, we can be safe in the knowlegde that the world will be so disgusted that an apparent democratic western nation could give birth to such collosal abortions such as the character Jorge Rios you created, that the continued status of the Falklands is guarenteed for the next million years.

Keep up the good work Agent parrot!

Jorgie-boy! How comes you can`t live in a peaceful way with your neighbours. Falkland Islands (Kelpers), Pulp Mill (Uruguay ) and the small islands in Beagle Channel (Chile)?? And please do not tell you have made a diplomatic solution with the latter; We all know this solution only was made, after it was known that an unpublished papal judgement made in the Vatican advantaged The Great Nation called Chile (once your former faouvorite enemy).
Well , I like yor writings, and forgive me, i am still convinced yoy are a paid “agent provocateur”, however not one of the most clever ones...
Don`t be sorry.., it can`t be worse, only better. Maybe.....or?

Jihad Jorge is at it again!

Jorge, you go on constatly about the UKs illegal occupation of the Falkland Islands (and now its territorial waters). Illegal under what law? What international law identifies the Islands as part of Argentina and not a Self Governing British Overseas Territory? No such law exists!

This is why Argentina will not take the matter to the ICJ as its claims would start to unravel. Once again Argentina would be publicly humiliated.

If your leaders want to show some metal then put together a legal case and refer the matter for legal adjudication. To avoid this is spineless and cowardly and you know it!

Every time you spill your gut onto this forum you confim your status as an uneducated, close minded and pathetic individual. For Christ's sake you even claimed that you new the “top secret” plan to bring the Islands under Argentine control. A strange little boy!

    @ Hoytred

    Correction:
No! you don’t have any territorial waters just like any other country, because you are not a country, nation or something similar. You are an enclave hold by force by Uki petty in process of default.

    That’s all.

Nicotine checked and checked again, sorry can't find anything wrong with my views!

however for a man who so rabidly denies anything negative economically or criminally against Argentina I do have to ask whether you were born with a bumhole for a mouth? and a Chicken for a brain, I would suspect that one or two of the latter may be truthful, I have got more sense out of my dozen or chickens in the last 2 months as you have contributed.....

Look at my tongue in cheek satire again perhaps after your hundreth attempt and much racking of your steam powered dozen or so brain-cells you may indeed understand my posts in reference to our greatest spy- Agent Parrot.

First sorry but my English suck. it appear many people here ( like nicodin, jorge, ..) don’t know the meaning of territorial waters, international water or exclusive economic zone so let me explain, the EEZ extends to a distance of 200 nautical miles (370 km) out from its coastal baseline. so Falkland can use all the natural resources on this area, another thing Argentina may have claim on Falkland island but in real world Argentina has no real power over Falkland or the EZZ beside the world recognize Falkland as a part of the UK I´ll put a simple example: in my country ( Chile) Peru also made a claim over a part of our water but if any Peruvian ship trespass our border we will arrest them because claim is not equal to own . you may or not have a legitimate claim but right now every single part of falkland belong to England
