Pity they didnt put that much effort in the defence of the Falklands,when they were on the ground

So Billy...you are saying that you would be happy for the Falkland Islands to be an independent country? Well the ONLY country stopping that is Argentina!!!!!
I thought that Argentina had stopped these flights landing at Rio Gallegos some time ago .... did they stop? ... and when did they restart?
Jun 14th, 2010 - 10:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0LAN Chile suspended the flights following Pinochet's arrest, they started again when he was released with the stop over at Rio Gallegos added. There was an attempt at allowing charter flights, which ended when Argentina refused over flight rights mandating only Argentine carriers could be used (FIG proposed open skies).

Interestingly there were several Arg veterans and families on that flight - and today they attended the commemoration service at the 1982 memorial - and they even came to the civic reception party afterwards all drinks paid for by the Falkland Islands Govt. Seems they have a more reasonable and realistic attitude than Billy and the nutters on the runway in RGL.

It must be understood that these are all quite possibly invalid nations. They are all largely descendents of groups of people “planted” by the Spanish, Portuguese and Italian Empires. Not being indigenous, they are not entitled to self-determination. So those “nations” and “governments” must be invalid.
