Well it can be seen that the children who visited the FALKLANDS to study are far more mature than the Argentine officials. Just how childish are Argentine politicians prepared to have themselves look to the rest of the world?

I think this can be penciled in as an Argentinian backdown... along with the CK Beijing imports - v -soy-oil back down, the Brazilian corn on the cob backdown, the bridge over the Rio Uruguay backdown...... I'm sure I've missed a few.

It's funny how Chile claims to support Argentine sovereignty as a lip service to Argentina but actually supported Britian during the conflict in a number of useful ways.

I think it's great the mayor of Chile fixed his comment to show support for our issue, his words will keep Malvinas in the spot light, childish maybe but eventually they will learn to play politics and connect BP to the fakland, it's just matter of time. Oviously frank didn't read the news regarding China's soya inports from Argentina and the 10B trade agreement. http://en.mercopress.com/2010/07/07/mrs.-kirchner-to-beijing-to-mend-trade-relations-with-china and the bridge to Uruguay is a road to pollution, maybe frank will like his own town to host a mill that pollutes the river in his area, and in regards to franks last comment, he must be talking about himslef and “stick up your”.......

“Oviously frank didn't read the news regarding China's soya inports”... well yes Frank did.....'China and Brazil are Argentina’s main trade partners but bilateral trade relation with Beijing are not going through one of its best moments since Buenos Aires imposed some protectionist measures (deferred import licences) in 2009 in support of domestic production which had a negative impact on Chinese imports.
As a consequence China decided to increase sanitary requirements for Argentine soy-oil, thus drastically cutting into trade volumes.
    ....................
China absorbs 70% of Argentine soy-oil (world’s leading exporter) and in 2009 imported the equivalent of four million tons.
However since the trade spat, China has ceased all purchases of soy-oil. ”
Every time Argentina screws with foreign trade it gets kicked in the nuts.......you would think they would learn

Frank - you are quite wrong.... there are NO protectionist measures in place. Not for Chinese good, Brazillian goods or EU goods .... they're making it up, it a conspiracy to ruin Argentina's reputation, same as the lies being spread in Uruguay about their ships getting harrassed ... it's all lies, ARGENTINA IS INNOCENT of EVERYTHING

    ....... perhaps :-)

Yep...like the impending ban on food imports flagged for 1st June by the minister of something or other. ( Food workers wanted a big pay increase to cover inflation...easy fix... stop food imports..domestic price rises..companies can pay the wage increases... yep that will work). Aduana at the Brazilian border were already implementing the bans in May... CK summoned by Brazilian president... CK says she never said such a thing.. show it to us in writing etc etc...
Have you ever wondered why in all those photos of her with other heads of state she always has that shit-eating grin? I think its because she has just been told to eat shit...

    @avargas2001
What does BP have to do with the Falklands?
If you are meaning the Oil company, you have just discredited everything you have said and will say. BP is not involved in the exploration of hydrocarbons in the Falklands. FACT. And if they were, I am sure you are implying that there would be another BP disaster, how do you know this? I didnt realise BP had a consistent issue with oil spills all over the world, constantly. That is why BP is the 4th largest company in the world, because of its history of imcompetence.

I am sure you have no idea of this, but when an Oil Exploration Company applies for Oil Acreage Licences in the Falklands, the Falkland Islands Government requires a an Environmental Impact Statement, that demonstatres the oil company's techinical knowledge, physical and financial capability to explore safely. But because the existence of FIG hinders the Argentine “claim”, Argentina continues to ignores FIGs existence, so I guess you will keep producing incorrect statements. I hope you do too, I enjoy reading them. :)

Everybody needs to be careful of “gassy” as stick it up your junta so delightfully refers to him/her/it. Have a look around on the comments on this site and you will find where I posted excerpts from the Wikipedia log showing why he/she/it is indefinitely banned.
Now, on this thread, so far, he has been borderline but I can tell that he is beginning to foam at the mouth. This is usually followed by wild, illiterate, ignorant, implausible, unintelligible comments and assertions that blame everyone else, no matter who, for the conspiracy against him and his country. Is this paranoia? Anxiety? Sexual repression? Schizophrenia? Who knows? He should be humoured. ................. No, the hell with it, it's so funny when he loses it.

M_of_I. yes ...there is Environmental Impact Statement why don't you go ask Obama for the one he got from BP, as a matter of fact why don't you enlighten us with your self proclaimed ignorance and show us the link to the one from BP to USA, and the Gulf of Mexico ? funny you mention the item, when the title specifically declares itself a damage statement rather then a contingency plan, in any case, I doubt it tells Americans that 20.000 to 50.000 million barrels of oil a day would be spilled into the ocean in a worst case senario, I don't know what you find funny in my statements, I can't even manage a smile while I type it, FIG ? wait a minute is that like UN ? We have enought crooks sitting in chairs at the UN and you want us to warm more chair at the FIG ?? what planet are you on ?.....what's up with british trolls here can't they find other people to harras and trash ? that they have to take the time to harras people making comments on Argentine articles, I really hate it when people with inferiority complex feel they must go out of their way to make themselves relevant, this is what happens when you are drunk all of your life, being impetent at the age of 24, and historically inadecuate, you can almost smell their ideas, and can recognize them by the similarity to human feces, I believe it must be part of their DNA, as you can probably see all the trolls in here, waiting for someone to trash them and soo they can go on their rants against all people and totally irrelevant to the report. READY ! GET SET GO ! LAS MALVINAS SON ARGENTINAS.

I wonder how long an Argentine airport operator could keep LAN Chile planes waiting in the airport, I also wonder if this could make it unprofitable for LAN Chile to operate in Argentina, it would give a good boost to Aerolineas Argentinas.

Interesting to read in the southern Chilean papers that the Arg Consul has even been into the schools to harrangue the young kids about the name and sovereignty of the Islands etc! My God - to shout political disputes at 10yr olds! I knew Arg had sunk into the gutter over this - I had not realised that they were actually down floundering in the sewers in their own **** ! This man is rightly named - sort of “Revolting” But also it does not say much for Chilean teachers to allow it to happen either.

Islander. You do not understand. Argentina does not sink into the gutter. Generally speaking, gutters are above ground. And why would they not be floundering around in the sewes in their own ****? Check out what they left behind in people's homes in 1982. Sewers are one of their habitats. Sewage treatment works = Argentine towns and cities.

Think, I quite agree with you on them. It will be interesting to see if your man there tries the same line when a group of kids from here go over to Punta Arenas for the reciprocal visit.
Oh the Straits issue - I never did reply did I - try the clear wording of the treaty that was also lodged and filed at the UN. Its agaist the worrds of the bilateral treaty and thus also against the Un maritime Law which in the Straits area would operate on that treaty.
Interesting to see what Arg will do when sooner or later a ship tells them it is not an international nor valid requirement and sails on through - will you fire on and murder unarmed civilians? Perhaps a cruise liner?

I presume that our man will stay at his office and let your young ones enjoy their reciprocal visit to Patagonia.
And that will hopefully be the end of this little cunning political scheme you organized.

    Strait(s) issue:
No, you never replied because quite simply, you lied on record.
Your “clear wording” was clear enough! Thanks....

    Shipping issue:
Working quite well without doing nothing .... Our focus seems to be now on Uruguay... That planted story on “el Pais” has open the issue at high level.
You really would like some dead civilians on a cruiser liner....Of course you do...Would serve you well...

I do not lie - I wouldnt say that you do either - you just belive in a string of porkys uttered regularily by Bueno Aires. The Straits issue is against what your country has signed up to and we all know it. It irritates a bit but is no real bother to us - the ship that went there from here was a bit large to make that a profitable run anyway. Much better this summer when a small Chilean company will probably run its own boat from Punta Arenas to the Falklands- and make a profit.
