Argentine President Cristina Kirchner called on Monday for an international system of financial regulation ahead of the G20's next meeting in Seoul. Read full article
Honestly, you could not make this stuff up...
”Mrs Kirchner separated individual corruption, which the courts must handle, from structural corruption, “which often times damages national economies and must be fought with greater regulation, control of users and of the state and transparent, anti-monopolistic and diversified policies”.
Individual corruption is OK as long as you control the courts...... Oh OK..
Individual corruption in Argentina has trickled down into the society until it has become structural... and endemic...
This is called sycophancy. Trying to get the soy oil trade back. Unfortunately, it is likely that the USA can make up the deficit. Wonder what sort of price cut the Chinese will want?
this woman cares as much abt her own people, like her dress sense,
she is trying to do a Thatcher, buts needs to understand that china is not like the west, where she can flutter eyelids and they all jump , including mrs Clinton, but when china has had enough, she will drop mrs kirchner
like a brick, this lady is well out of her pram, but you have to admire her ?
Her latest statement, that Peronism is just like Maoism, may please China, but I´ll bet that the Peronists in Argentina won´t be too happy about such a statement!
I wonder where she intends to go with such a statement. Classic Maoism has effectively been abandoned in China. This is not surprising as classic Maoism was oft-described as agrarian socialism because of the nature of Chinese society in Mao's time. China is now well into industrialism.
The other thing, of course, is the class struggle. This can be construed as a struggle to achieve a mean, where those with inappropriate wealth etc. are divested of them in order to redistribute to those below the mean. Doubt whether the Kirchner fortune would sit well with any sort of Maoist.
She is right we need a new world financial system, the U$ is falling like a stone, besides why doesn't each coutry trade in their own currency, redusing the need to pay exchange charged.
