But the really good news is that self-determination has been ruled to override “territorial integrity” as it failed to override dubious historical claims.

    Falkland Islands for ever!!

    You are not being fair....
Squid is paramount for the economy of the Islands.
Without it they would still be the poor landless servants from before 82.

Is the booming oil industry on summer holidays?
Or maybe everybody at home producing the new 10.000 settlers :-)

#1 does the selfdetermination scheme also protects the rights of 40.000.000 Argentine citizens or does it only apply to the 2000 white british pirats ??
Are the 40.000.000 Argenmtine citizens free to choose their own state and it's territorial boundaries ?? or special situation means only for white people can do this ??

Gasseous ... The 40 million Argentines you refer to are free to do what they will in their own country .... but not in someone else's country!

Looking at the recent ICJ ruling it would appear that yes, Patagonia can declare itself independent and the rights to self determination of the Patagonian people will likely outweigh any claim to 'territorial integrity'. Go for it Patagonia :-)
