The number of land in the hands of foreigners in Argentina has almost tripled in the last 10 years, a phenomenon that is spreading to areas that are rich in natural resources and that is affecting small towns that are finding themselves enclosed within the domains of large landholders.     Hey, it's only 200,000 square kilometres. Plenty of room left to build slums and shanty towns on!

    C´mon, harrier - This would mean about every country in the world (especially all of North America, Central America, and South America) and Australia, New Zealand, etc. would have to be given away. (Without mentioning islands)

    Let us start with Argentina first, as that is where the story originates. Is there something wrong with Amerindians, the indigenous people, being given 44,270 square kilometres? It is approximately 1.6% of the land area. And, according to Wikipedia, Amerindians form 1.6% of the population. Of course, it might be appropriate to give more to make up for 500 years of occupation, but that could be discussed later.
