Argentines have lost their title as the world’s biggest beef eaters after the worst drought in 70 years and government export limits to contain domestic prices led ranchers to reduce the number of cattle on the Pampas. Exports have also fallen drastically. Read full article

We all know the reasons of this have been the farmer's greediness.
They prefer using their fields to farm soy instead of breeding animals for internal comsuption (wich means less us$ by the way)

Greedy farmers... ? They grow soy because the government imposes too many controls on beef production.... if free market conditions prevailed beef would still be cheap and plentiful....
Same applies to dairy products... why do you reckon you can't buy butter in BA????
Give it a year or two and bread will be a luxury... guess the botox queen will just tell you to eat cake....
