Oct 05th, 2010 - 06:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Chile won't win this time. It's sad, but true. The UN and Human Rights Orgs. are walking hand in hand. Switzerland too granted political asylum to Chilean ex-guerrilla fighter and nobody said anything, and Britain once granted political asylum to Chechen rebel leader Akhmed Zakayev, and and and, anyway, it's game over for Chile.
Oct 05th, 2010 - 09:01 am - Link - Report abuse 0Maybe it will help Chile realise the proper course for the Chilean nation to take. On the one hand we have the constant crowing about LatAm unity and, on the other, we have something like this.

Oct 05th, 2010 - 01:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Pinochetists in power are crying for justice against a single and powerless man who eventualy commited a political crime against a pinochetist criminal; while they don´t say that pinochet and his gang crimes during ´70 against a democratic goverment and against chilean people are still unpunished.
You Argies should know all about double standard games Billy.
Oct 05th, 2010 - 02:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Mr. Timerman is a true politician. His replies shows that, but unfortunately he is a bad lier. Un-impressive so far as Argentine foreign secretary. His big mistake is to underestimate the intelligence of the Argentine public and in this case the Chilean public.
Oct 05th, 2010 - 02:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Personally, I cannot understand why someone who murders one person and kidnaps another while the country is under a democratically elected government should not be considered as anyone other than a criminal.
Oct 05th, 2010 - 02:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I confess to a little confusion - why would Argentina shoot itself in the foot internationally and threaten all its work on South American unity over a terrorist criminal?
Oct 06th, 2010 - 04:58 am - Link - Report abuse 0Can't see the point!
Why? Because at the end of the day they ( the Ks and their Cronies) are just plain stupid.....
Oct 06th, 2010 - 06:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0Surely it's more likely that the Manuel Rodríguez Patriotic Front (FPMR) was being funded by Argentina in order to destabilise Chile. Could it be that if Apablaza is questioned and put on trial in Chile, that will come out?
