Chilean Argentine relations deteriorated seriously on Tuesday when the government of President Sebastian Piñera announced they were calling off a series of meetings at Foreign Affairs ministerial level following on Buenos Aires decision to grant political asylum to a former guerrilla fighter. Didn't F_A recently state that Argentina and Chile were working together to have a joint sovereignty agreement over their respective self proclaimed 50 years late claims to Antarctica?

Whats the possibility of that happening now I wonder first the glacier claims are reignited after Argentina publishes a tourist showing the disputed boundaries as theirs, then they scored a magnificent coup by condemning the evil primary Chilean School Children for daring to go to the Falklands to learn English, then they bugger up Rio Gallegos with their petty decree, now they grant political asylum to convicted murderer, with two friends like these, the Falklanders have nothing to worry about :)
