    I admit that I am not that informed about Brazilian politics - therefore a question. Is Dilma the caretaker president to be controlled by Lula da Silva al la Nestor ruling through Christina. And then after her term will Lula atempt to take over again?

    @Pedro
    One can't know that before she is elected, can one? What you suggest about her is the same that the Brazilian opposition does. But the opposition flip-flops in its attempts to sling mud at her. Sometimes they say she'll be a puppet of Lula; sometimes they accuse her of being a ruthless technocrat based on anecdotes about her relationship with the rest of Lula's cabinet. She's voiced disagreements about some of Lula's economic policies (she had a strained relationship with a former Finance Minister of Lula's first term, Antonio Palocci.) So I'm trusting - and hoping - she'll be more like the latter, that is, a strong leader.
