Neither the University of Cadiz nor the Spanish Navy requested permission for the original operation on September 21, but arrangements for removal were confirmed with the Spanish Government and were subject to the UK's approval, said a spokesman adding that a key role of the Royal Navy in Gibraltar is to uphold British sovereignty over British Gibraltar Territorial Waters.
He said the navy actively polices these waters and takes all incursions seriously. They will continue to deal with any incidents in an appropriate manner....
.. PP MP José Ignacio Landaluce has already said he will take the buoys issue to the Congreso in Madrid and demand an explanation ...
