You see, the British people were outraged when they found that a large proportion of foreign-produced meat goods and goods containing meat is produced by halal methods. Not being as nationalistically vindictive as some countries, the campaign to identify and reject such products encompassed even such countries as New Zealand.
Nov 27th, 2010 - 07:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Now that the Evil Empire(EU) is moving toward some sort of trade deal with Mercosur, British people want to identify unsuitable, and even life-threatening, products from, for example, South American countries. Having already identified GM, growth hormones, unacceptable vetinarian products and unacceptable feed additions, goods originating in certain countries will simply be left on the shelves.
