“ ... “One of the strongest points of Argentina’s position is having always claimed the Malvinas Islands since they were taken over by Britain”, said the Malvinas expert during an interview in the nineties...”

    Which is incorrect of course!

“ ... “Malvinas is the foreign policy issue most deeply rooted in the spirit of Argentines. However our Congress does not debate on the issue as does the British parliament. What really happens is that in Argentina overall there is no discussion on foreign policy”, claimed Garcia del Solar in one of his last interviews earlier this year....”

The trouble with debate is that someone might want to get to the truth, and then again someone may wish to pursue the matter further ... to the ICJ perhaps. Neither appear to be something that the Argentine Government wishes :-)

García del Solar......The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.
He could have done so much with his life but instead he tried to make the Falklands Islands Argentinian when in fact they are and always have been British....since before Texas was part of the Union.

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent Argentine threats of recapturing the Malvinas, and have therefore raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved”. Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross”. The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940, when tea supplies nearly ran out. Argentines have been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance”. The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. So cheer up mates and low down your warning levels. We're still preparing something unthinkable for you.

The Spanish Armada was not really one of your ancestors notable conquests....they lost 63 ships to the british tally of zero and during the last conflict your Navy was world famous for staying in port, quivering like a jelly. “still preparing something unthinkable” ....what is that ? going to throw a bag of Yerba maté at us ?

It appears that the traditional English sense of humour did not reach your generation. Try yoga, instead, if you are unable to read between lines. Cheers!

I have to agree with Domingo this time… for the first time ever….
His humor sense seems to be the only one not affected by resolution 1514 (XV)…

    Anyhow…..Nice “Argobritanico” humor………….
    Especially the “un-Think-able” riddle :-)
