Magallanes has the lowest unemployment rate in Chile

Magallanes in the extreme south of Chile became the region with the lowest unemployment in the country during the September-November quarter. According to the official Chilean statistics office the jobless rate in Magallanes dropped to 4.1% compared to the national 7.1%. Read full article

    mmmm...these numbers must be wrong, it´s impossible a bonanza in magallanes; remember what our farmers mates across the water told us when the sea link between Malvinas & Punta Arenas was cancelled; they told us that Punta Arenas will suffer unemployment and a massive closure of shops & businesess because of that.

    When the Chilenos soon return home an get their social life back, it will be an excellent opportunity for the FIG(leaf) to train their Anglo youth to serve alcohol to the grown ups instead of just drinking it :-)
