“these two are like mork and mindy”
But the 2 are the powerhouses of Europe and UK is an old devaluated lady falling and falling.

BTW Briton when your banks are going to really show how much money was lost in the ponzi scheme of the Subprime mortgage crisis and the SIVs fiesta?

You are counting money already gone in your balance sheets and in your GDP.

Pure Brits style full of propaganda, disinformation and lies.

@2 Nicholas, you seem extremely well informed re the UK's finances. but what about your own country?
you are in far worse shape than Britain--and with all the resources that you have, what's the problem?
ln 1900 Argentina had one of the highest standards of living in the world, what happened?
lt must be put down to mismanagement, no? unless of course the world cheated Argentina of its rightful place, blah blah blah, etc etc ad nauseum?
Our oil(if there is any)might solve some of your financial problems, no?
Unfortunately for you, its OUR oil, NOT yours.
You could have had a share, but well, good old Nestor tore up the agreement in 2007, as you well know. Pity

The information you get are from journalistic source and it is not accurate relate to Argentina economy.
Because is generated by 2 big conglomerated biased group media like Fox News in US. Who are against the current govt. for political and economy reasons.
If you see fox News and specially the show that like so much to FredMex Glenn Beck show, US is taking by communist and is going to a civil war after an invasion of desperate Mexicans crossing the Borders.

I was reading a report about the increase of food’s price in US what more items recently rose in a range between 30 to 45%. But inflation reported by US is 1.5%.

If in Argentina the tomatoes increase the price 20% the media reports 20% of inflation and 30% of poverty what is totally wrong. And they use private source that none cans check if you don't buy it.

Food prices had rose in the whole world and of course in Argentina but less and about 25%. And to measure inflation you have to take into account hundred of items, including services, transportation, education, etc. Here and example Uni Education a big burden for Americans and Brits family’s economy is free in Argentina. None in UK to measure cost of living will take Oxford Uni or Cambridge cost. Here in Argiland the press will, to make their point.

Yesterday I was talking with and American living here and just returning from US he told me that except for rare exception the standard of living are similar in Argentina.

I was living in London for 2 years and nothing there surprised me at all. Was very expensive for what you get and salaries were very low compared with other European countries. Italy had better standards of living. And if you compare it with France or Germany Brits are poor but the rich living in Kensington who are most of them foreigners.

So now friendly have you ever been living in Buenos Aires?
