Any news about rockhopper well? i read somewhere that they might have found something down there, i hope they didn't!!!

“too bad she chose this part!! jajaja”

Why? I'm sure it'd be an interesting role for her to play. You might have your problems with lady Thatcher but that doesn't mean it'll be a bad part or a bad idea for Meryl Streep to play it. I reckon she'll do a fine job.

yes, i'm sure she'll do just fine, she is a great actress. She is only missing an eyepatch and a parrot in her shoulder, there the personification would be superb!!

The futile Malvinas oil drilling costs could be compensated
    by this film's likely revenues..?..doubt !

Much as I hate to break this to you Marcos......but I'm afraid that that photo that did the rounds in the RG press in 82 was manipulated to include the eyepatch and such.....I'm so very sorry to be the one to let you know about that after all these years.

Just incase Argentinian posters didn't know. This film is before the falklands, and has nothing to do with the war.

The revenues will not be going to the islands.
This is not a political maneuver.
    This is not a conspiricy.

Hope that clears somethings up. I know anyone with common sence will know this but many, many Argentinian posters are severely lacking in this department

    “ The Tin Lady”

Just be careful how much you degrade this fine lady, remember she embarressed your whole nation in a one sided conflict against the odds.

The more you degrade her the more you degrade your own country.

I think this fine woman deserves an english actress to represent her. I'm not going to discuss about politics, just want to express that England have the right to be represented by their own people in a film with so much to tell.

oh my god... will be interesting to see how she plays the iron Lady who envisaged a UK without its imperial swagger anymore thus saving our arses - but didn't give a monkey's about thousands of UK miners losing their jobs or being clubbed by cops ... but hey, its only a movie i guess

    EUstinelli:

it's not a big deal now americans playing british people and vise versa. it happens all the time now. Most of the massive US superhero films are now played by British actors and most people don't even seem to realise.

I: Blinded by hate, as usual. I feel pity for you.

15 If anyone is to blame for the demise of deep coal mining in the UK then look no further than Arthur Scargill. I had a great deal of sympathy for the Miners and regret the devastation the destruction of this once great industry. Scargill was a poor leader who started the strike when coal stocks were high, managed to split a once solid Union and misused Union funds. Perhaps Mrs Thatcher had determined on this course but Scargill made it easy for her.

    @19

we could soon see a duplicate of that in Argentina with the their unions and Cristina Kirchner.
Wonder who could play her in a movie....Jocelyn Wildenstein perhaps.

    19. Like you suggest 'Mrs Thatcher had determined on this course...' is pretty much correct. She was adopting the US strategy of destroying the power of unions, which was business driven. That was certainly not any miners fault. Sure, Scargill was a bit of a knob, with not allowing that crucial vote to strike or not in the midst of the fight. But ask a miner what he thinks of Margaret Thatcher. You sure as hell won't find any streets named after her in former mining towns...

This is the pirate talking. First let me say to the people of Little Britain it is a pleasure now that you have now become British and forgone the name Argentina and you are now beginning to speak the language of all great nations.
You will find now that you have become British that this will be one of the best things that have happened to you for a long time. We are endeavoring to bring down inflation something that in the past has always eluded you.
You will also find that we let Americans play the parts of some of our finest hero's, and I urge you all to watch this film when it comes out. You will also find that Mrs Thatcher never wore that eye patch, that was a propaganda stunt by your former country's Government.
    GOD SAVE THE QUEEN .
