“Mora closed by assuring that the plane’s cargo “had been approved before its arrival,” and said that “even though it is a serious incident, it can easily be resolved.”

    Of course is serious?

Militaries from a foreigner country violating our laws it is very serious.

    Why seem we are joking?

the officials told the judicial investigators that they did not send the report of the episode to court because they did not consider “there was a customs violation or an illegal action.”

Well in respect of the above, just on what legal grounds do the argentinas have for seizing US military equipment that was preappoved for use in the training exercise.

Yet more prov the Argies are trying to bite of more than they can chew. I suspect their actions are more based on gaining intelligence and technology from by seizing such equipment.

Pleasing to see the US treating this as a serious incident. though i would warn him not to think that anything can be easily resolved where argentina is involved.

I have to say that I am loving this story. I has every appearance of a nail in the coffin of Argentine diplomacy.
Argentine diplomats, if there are such a thing, and politicians, have their heads so far up their own arses that they've forgotten that they actually have to exist in the real world. Meeting up with other South American leaders and exchanging macho rhetoric isn't enough.
Obviously, from my point of view just carry right on pissing the USA off. It doesn't seem long since Christina and Hillary were best pals. I said at the time that was meaningless nonsense; glad to be right.

Your resentement against the kirchner does not let you see more aspects of the reality, your information is always so oblique and ignorant, you only have the tipical ignorant antiperonist perspective, which is tipical in the anglo culture.
Like it or not, our lawes must be respective, ¿what do you think that would happen, if at an airplane of our army, are found things that were not declared previously, when it arrives to any airport from u. s. a.?, answer me please.
This case does not have anything to do with the inflation, corruption cases bla bla bla, dont underestimate the inteligence of our people.

America may be lots of things but she isn’t stupid, he may not care for us over his grandpappys demise, but he positively hates arrogant pigs that take ,then insult, them, ask for support then insults again, when the yanks are on the warpath it is best not to insult them, even if they are up to no good,
as for Argentina you can kiss there ass, but shit still drops downwards ??

I'll tell you what wouldn't happen; Hillary Clinton wouldn't be there on the tarmac being photographed checking the cargo manifest.
Do you think this is dignified statesmanlike behaviour from your foreign minister? Or is it a cheap publicity stunt, designed to impress the kind of people who like to say 'dont underestimate the inteligence of our people' and 'Militaries from a foreigner country violating our laws it is very serious'.
As I said, if you want to make yourselves feel big and important by tweaking the USA's tail, then fill your boots. It suits us just fine.

the world may soon run out of food, say the experts,
if this happens who will suffer, the poor again, if you grow your own food you may be ok.
could argentina survive, can you live on what you grow, i hope so.
because we cant, and what happens when a powerfull country has no food.
turn to bread baskets of the world perhaps.

We get even rich and the powerful country ends with $11 trillions dollars of foreign debt and poor.

Oh! Wait a minute who owes to the world $11 t?

    MONTY69:
If i have to fill my boots, you should fill your brane with new neurons, when people like you, does not have any solid argument to refute any one else's comment, the only one thing you can do, is to type ironic comments which are tipical of people with mediocre thought.
I have no doubt that if the situation would have been like what i described in my last comment, all the the passangers of the airplane, would be in prison, we can be a third world country, underdeveloped, however you prefer to call it, but like it or not, our laws, will have to be respected, like yours, meantime, keep on typing all the cheap ironys that you want, that will show once and again how mediocre you thought is.

    MONTY69.
I was honest too, that's why i said think that you were ironic, when you typed that comment, anywway, i am not going to discuss once and again with you, about the incident of the airplane, i respect your opinion, but i dont agree on it.
Regarding the malvinas-falkland issue, that's a very complicated question, there are many aspects that we must take into account, i have said in many oportunitys what i think about this dispute, and i said too what would be the solution for this conflict.

Let my fellow US citizens & their pro-US supporters babble on. Argentina is a sovereign nation. The US has a long history of destabilizing countries all over the planet & in Latin America in particular. The US was a direct sponsor,, provided training, personnel & weapons for the reign of terror in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile & elsewhere in 1960s-80s. Clearly this “diplomatic” delivery was part of a covert operation directed against Argentina's sovereignty & will be justifiably dealt with severity. US credibility is next to nothing, not only abroad but within the US after decades of illegal invasions, occupations, propping up of dictators, generals & war criminals. Precisely at this moment -- & these are just the publicized incidents -- the United States of Covert Action has 2 “diplomatic” scandals. One is Alan Gross, the CIA “contractor” detained in Cuba. The other is the CIA “diplomat” Raymond Davis in Pakistan. Wikileaks' revelations about US “diplomatic” spying on everyone & every nation have shot holes in whatever remaining credibility anyone might have mistakenly attributed to the US. Hillary Clinton is a Machiavelian snake with cold blood & not the least interest in “mutual cooperation” unless that is taken to mean “you cooperate with us & we won't attempt to destabilize your nation”. The smartest move Argentina or any nation could take is to stop US training of its security forces & do it now. Tighten the screws on a nation that is known to show no respect for international law whether on the macro or the micro level. While we are talking about US hipocracy, Hillary Clinton and US “respect for democracy and freedom”, check out this video of former CIA analyst and presidential Ray McGovern being hauled out of a Hillary Clinton speech. Cold as ice and ruthless Hillary never flinches. Be assured, she knows where the bodies are hidden & she knows what was in the shipment to Argentina & why it was sent there. http://www.democracynow.org/2011/2/18/ex_cia
