    en.mercopress.com/2011/01/21/unilateral-facts

“…… Next Rockhopper drill; “the appraisal” will be a long story with all the ingredients of a Brazilian Soap Opera: Sidetracks, Weather, technical difficulties………you name it…….”
First ingredient: NO NEWS RNS whilost the market eagerly expects a REAL RNS…..

They try to make seismic research there ?

there is already seismic fracture line at the 300 km south of Malvinas Islands---when likely big quake it could make tsunami around Malvinas.

Jambhala, the greatly hated ”Guru” of the ”iii ” seems to agree with my humble opinion about today's RNS...

”On the RNS today, I plump for the obvious conclusion. The timing was worrying and it is a carrot before a big RNS stick. Think about it. If you are Sam Moody and you know you are going to release a stonking RNS why not wait to incorporate this release into well news. There is nothing price sensitive in the release and what is says to me is: don't worry about the next well boys, this is a long campaign, we've got the OG committed and seismics to come - it is jam tomorrow imo.

I think we are going to get a complex, technical RNS rather than a blockbuster. It will be interesting to see how gas features in the RNS. There was vague talk of a gas kick in the early rumours. Is what we have here a compartmentalised oil find in a basin that is predominantly gas bearing? We may well find out tomorrow morning”

Think - this news was expected after the initial MOU a while back. Interesting date for final result of the 3D seismic infil. However signing a formal rig agreement is price sensitive information as it commits cash that contributes to the NAV to be spent. That is such a basic concept that the fact you call Jammy a guru for arguing against it displays your financial ineptitude. Try harder next time and say hi to Jammy for me (he is in my ignore list so I don't see his posts). He lost a lot of cash which makes him an economic whizz kid by Argentine standards I suppose.

I missed the rumour of the gas kick! Was it at spud?

And so life continues ... still early days for the explorers, but far too late for Argie hopes. Only 1st Generation eh Think? Well that at least explains your enthusiasm for the cause ..... :-)

And still going on about iii ...... told you before Think, even I leave contributions to that site and I'm no great investor!

    Time will tell all.

Nothing much to say Martian, prospecting for oil or gold or copper, whatever is always a risky business. If it's there, and the price is right then they'll find it eventually. If it's not, well then they'll move onto something else.

It isn't very important for the future of the islands really, imho ... the islanders may even get to see that a big oil find would so radically change their lives that they would wish no-one had bothered finding it.

Peace and tranquility have a value too.

Hey Think. Looks like your anti-guru Jamblahhh (what ever his name is) has stooped to new lows and is now resorted to offending those directly affected by the earthquake in Japan. After you decided to follow some of the past vermin on iii, I thought you would have learnt.

Shame you follow those that tell you what you want to hear regardless of their moral compass.

    Peace!

Has anybody else noticed that the tone and content of Twinky's posts have changed? A new operative in the Argentine Secret Police or Department of Foreign Propaganda?
