Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was forced to suspend all of her official activities for the next 24 hours after suffering from low blood pressure in the Olivos presidential residence. She is expected to remain there under observation until Wednesday.
The press release was issued by the Presidential Medical Unit, explaining that the President began suffering from hypotension in the afternoon, for which she was advised to stay in bed for the next 24 hours, while she remained under medical evaluation.
The press release was sent by the presidential spokesman, Alfredo Scoccimarro, who clarified that even though her whole schedule for tomorrow had been cleared, she is still expected to fly to Mexico Wednesday night.
This is the second time this year that the Argentine president is forced to suspend her agenda because on medical presctiption. Last January during a very hot humid day with 40 degrees Celsius, the Argentine leader suffered from a bout of low pressure forcing her to remain in Olivos. The previous year something similar also happened during the summer.
