Indian minister visits Uruguay and Argentina to promote trade with Mercosur

A top level Indian business delegation headed by Minister of state for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia is travelling to Argentina and Uruguay to boost ties with Mercosur, according to the Indo-Asian news agency. Read full article

    This is Argentina's chance to sell that extra soy China didn't want to buy, maybe we can get an even better price since it's being climbing for a while, I can still remember some people telling us that Argentina was going to loose a lot if China didn't buy the soy, turns out we might be getting a better deal from India.

    OK, I know Argentina can find a 'new' market for its Chinse soy - and the Indians might let the SAs do extractions before export, increasing values, but this is a *Mercosur* visit - the last thing the other three partners need is Argentina going it alone or negotiating to the disadvasntage of its Mercosur partners.
