Is he in time for the 6 monthly missile test ? Or has that happened already? If so I assume that this time we didn't bother to mention it to Argentina ..... some bloody neighbours complain about everything :-)

Perhaps it may be followed by the prime minister,
And a navel exercise with a couple of type 45s, ,
and other units, a show of force is good for business
    just a thought .

    This is good.

In a parliament largely made up of accountants, estate agents, lawyers and career politicians, it is really important that many MPs have a working knowledge of the armed forces under their control.
I will feel safer for my families knowing that decisions are rooted in knowledge rather than hope and (self-)deception.

This should be necessary work-experience for anybody aspiring to the Defense portfolio.

If its good enough for the royals it should be essential for their governing functionaries.

That's a common problem in Britain, not even elected officials know the location of the islands on a map.

That might have been true prior to April 1982,but having fought for them we sure do now:-))))

It's a common problem for all career politicians practiced in the art of navel-gazing -

Argentinians stay in B.A. until election time
    Brasilians in Brasilia
Brits in The Westminster Bubble ( metonym),
Canadians within the Queensway (m.), and
US politicians within the Beltway (m.).

Many an English politician occasionally speculates what it's like 'North of the Watford Bypass'.

Ha ha, that is similar to the problem the aregentines have, most don't know the right name so when they visit national museums etc they cannot find the Islands as they are called the Falklands.

Marcos, you're only being a big girl's blouse about it because you know you'll never get your greasy hands on the place.

Marcos Alejandro ------------Thats the common problem with people, they think that when the Falklands are invaded again our soldiers will come a shore and be billeted in nice warm hotels and not have to sleep in the open sometimes in a tent and sometimes without one. A little bit like we did the last time.

Britsh MPs on the Defence Group have been doing similar for several years now in various parts of the world. A good idea as they get the opportunity to meet the men and women - not just selected officers as it the past.
Not a thing senior Arg officers probably do - let alone their politicians! You only have to look at their very basic conscripts ration pack of 1982 as compared to the officers ration pack with writing papers, chocs and whisky! British soldiers from Private to Fieldmarshal and Admiral get the same pack!
