Menem is currently senator for his home province La Rioja and is expected to run for re-election.
The former president faces several trials for alleged corruption acts.
Do corruption cases like this in Argentina ever come to trial, and do they ever result in senior politicians going to prison for stealing from the Argentinian people?
Because it seems in Brasil that such people are the true Untouchables.
Perhaps, like in the film, both countries should try Tax Evasion - and, in the process, the forces of the Law should wear body armour.
