Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner said on Tuesday that “instead of so many people supporting me for re-election” she prefers cooperation so conflicts and disputes can be solved without applying the sort of pressure that only makes matters worse. Read full article

Like the conflict with the looters who take parks and other municipal properties and call it “home”? We should chase them out with rubber bullets, we don't.

“We must continue working in that direction because no matter how much they shout and threaten they won’t make us change course”. She added that when “discussing interests it must be done with common sense and intelligence so the discussion of those interests don’t end up destroying the interests of everybody”.

Ummm - let me think - what topic could you apply this to in order to display her utter hypocrisy?

I guess the unions have her over a barrel to make such a statement in relation to them?

“I guess the unions have her over a barrel to make such a statement in relation to them?”

So, bent over a barrel and being shagged in the ass. She must be loving it! I can hear her yelling “More, more!” from 8,000 miles away.

The K goverment, starting with Nestor, and continuing with CFK, helped develop the power of Moyano, as he was needed to further their constant fights with others in Argentina. It appears that the chickens may be coming home to roost.

Christina, having been party to the creation of the monster, is now flailing around trying to find ways to control it.
Never has the real-life representation of Frankenstein and the Monster been quite so apposite.

Martin (my normal protagonist) appears to understand the problem.

To add another metaphor, CFK has the (organised union labour) tiger by the tail; she can't hold on and she dare'nt let go.

PS. Why is it we say 'Organised' labour, but never Organised Industry or The Organised Business Sector, or etc.?

Hoffa had a 'bright brain', but would he have been right as President of the USA?
Scargill had a 'bright brain', but would he have been right as Prime minister of the UK?

Just being 'bright' is nowhere near enough reason for voting in a man with ideas that sit uncomfortably - even dangerously - with the prevailing economic paradigm .

The Precautionary Principle is always to be preferred to Disaster Management.
