All negative anti-CFK articles, one after the other, notice there is no balance in Mercopress.

The Brits and their propaganda feeding frenzy, pathetic.

Feel free to point us in the general direction of a positive pro-CFK article.

Not in Mercopress, that's my point.

I can find articles some place else that speak well of CFK, but that wouldn't be balanced either. (and they would be mostly in Spanish)

Hell, I could post articles from Casa Rosada directly.

Mercopress is either purely British or heavily endorsed by British entities, either way their influence is obvious. I'm sure advertising helps but it's almost a byproduct compared to their main objective, to give two words exposure: “the Falklands”. Isn't that right, Mecopress? ;-)

Talking trash about CFK doesn't hurt either, though Mercopress's motivation for doing this renders all these articles worthless.

Sorry Mercopress, but the only words that hold any validity are LAS MALVINAS.

No matter how much garbage you post.

Nothing wrong with spanish speakers saying Las Malvinas.... english speakers call Germany Germany, Italy Italy, and France France ..... just don't use the A word as a suffix.......
So... no pro CFK propaganda forthcoming??

I don't see this as entirely negative. From the outside looking in, I would be very concerned about investing in a country where the unions were poised to blackmail the country. CFK has attempted to distance herself from it.

I'm baffled as I would not regard this as a negative article in relation to CFK at all.

Show me media that does not contain propoganda. I doubt many people are unaware that all media has an agenda and can make informed opinions based on that.

If you really don't like one publication it is probably best to avoid it if only for the sake of one's blood pressure. : ) I avoid The Daily Mail, the paper for armchair racists and misogynists. That would push my buttons. Just sayin'

This is a *balanced* - even positive - article about a tired and ill incumbent president declaring, in the run up to a (re)election, that she is distancing herself from the Communist organised labour movement and the Moyano dynasty in particular. She simply needs the middle class vote.

In my opinion, she certainly realises that Argentina cannot go further down the road of disrupting and destroying the country's industrial base, and that she has to rapidly reverse the widely-held world belief that there are better and easier places with which to do business.

Most if not all of us read the 'papers' that tell us what we want to hear.......

Buggered if I know why the RG lunatic fringe bother with Mercopress... it isn't as if it is a 'south american' news agency... header says 'South Atlantic'...which is still a British pond....

Why do we never get any Namibian or Angolan news here?????

There's nothing what so ever negative about CFK in this article. In fact, it seems positive to me that CFK is addressing the problem with the excessive union protests here and the fact that these constant protests are slowing the country down, if not stopping it entirely or threatening to do so. If anything this attracts some of the opposition voters. Where's the negative?

I believe the article, in that she probably did say these words. However, I think that she is trying to get votes of the middleclass, who are all fed up with Moyano, and if re-elected she will go directly back to bed with him.

I agree with you ... but what is the need of “acting” if she is going to be re elected anyways ...... that part is the one that I don't understand.

Note that I said IF re-elected; it ain´t over until the fat lady sings. I do not think that her re-election is going to be the shoo-in now being forcast. And, remember that she always talks a lot, but does very little!

Maybe you should try reading and understanding the articles before doing your standard 'I hate Mercopress' rant Martin, it says more about you than Mercopress that you always assume that anything written about CFK or Argentina is going to be negative.

Anyway if you really think Mercopress is such a pro-British site and it disgusts you so much then why don't you refrain from looking and commenting...do us all a favour and piss off.

The most important thing is to stop, at all costs, the 'leaders of organised labour' from getting any hand on power in Government.

    Unions are unions (for the benefit of their leaders and members);

and national government is national government (for the benefit of the people, not the politicians).

Their raison d'êtres are fundimentally different and are fundimentally counter-active.

Well?......tick tock Marcos....have you decided to go off and give a more...ahem.... 'balanced' .....site the benefit of your pearls of wisdom? please do (us all a favour)

    25,

Like I said, Mercopress main objective is to give two words exposure... “the Falklands”... if Mercopress feels that my posts undermine their objective they can just delete my account like they've done in the past, only about eight or ten times. ;-)

Las Malvinas are Argentine. : P

I still cannot see anything negative about this article.

I guess if I were running a media site and certain topics generated a lot of interest and comment from readers I would assume they wanted more.
