“No one wants to persecute them, (their identity) needs to be resolved ” Cabinet chief Anibal Fernandez.

WHY, Anibal, WHY does it need to be resolved?

    1. Because you say so?

    2. Because they asked you to find their true parents?

    3. Because CFK told you to persecute these two adopted people?

    4. To 'encourage' Clarin media group to offer 'compensation' to the 500 families damaged by the military excesses during the previous century?

    5. To force Clarin to stop criticising Government inadequacies?

    Please, Anibal, tell the truth.

River's relegation at the hands of the mighty Belgrano is pretty big news!

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind.
We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering.
You may ask, what is our plan?
I can say: It is to play Football, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us..........; to play Football.
    That is our plan.

You may ask, what is our aim?
I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all odds, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.

Let that be realised.........; no survival for the River Empire, no survival for all that the River Empire has stood for, no survival for the urge and impulse of the ages, that mankind will move forward towards its goal……..

It says a lot about the minds of posters, that a topic on:

    abductions,
    murders,
    rape?,
    baby 'stealing',
    Government strong-arming the media,,
    abuse of personal & human rights . . . . .

is changed by the posting community itself into a debate about football.

    Really, really, sad.

    @Think 23 - Nicely re-worked, señor...

@Geoff 24 - The comments section on pretty much all of the articles on mercopress strays off topic after a few posts.

Surely a few posts about a historic footballing moment on an article (the third almost identical article of the week on the topic, all of which are still open for comments) that would have otherwise slipped into sparsely-commented archival obscurity is preferable to the nationalistic penis contests that the comments section usually descend into.

At one point she speaks against the military dictatorship thank God!
Is good for her that we live in a democracy now, 35 years ago her tortured mutilated body would've been found floating in the River Plate in matter of hours. Not even revista Humor was safe back then, just for making fun of those sad faces milicos.

Since you like her so much, here is her book for 95 pesos, last time I heard she was trying to sell her book to some right wing Cubans of Miami.

Changing the topic, today many good River Plate fans and employees grabbed a broom to help the clean up of their beloved club.
    Others...well....went back to seventies.
