Well done team. Another step on the road to production. Another drill in the next thirty days or so, new infill seismic and a very interesting 12-24 months of work to first production.

Now awaiting the Argie muppets to come along with their consiprcories and idiotic comments.

Keep up the good work OG crew and RKH bod!

Red - it is a cut and paste job from the RNS. This is great news considering they did not have to even use wax inhibitors (this will reduce production costs)!

This news provides support and the speculators will have “sold on news”. This is now an investment stock. The next drill elevates some of the risk but if it comes in then we will be looking at a significant upgrade as we march towards “booked reserves”.

We know if flows commercially, we now know the costs will be lower (combination of the high flow rate and removal of the wax issue) all we need to do now is put final numbers to the size of this mother (three to four more drilling slots) and fully flow the lower portions of sealion (on the next appraisal).

Hang on, is not the new seismic coming out in July????? This gets better as the days go by!

Cat seems to have got Thinky's tongue, either that or he's out buying RKH shares.

As the markets are in the toilet then it is a buying window, especially as speculation positions close. The next six months are going to be very interesting.

    Loving it!

Is there much news about this in Argentina? I had a quick scan, but couldn't see anything being reported.

It is not that big news. We all knew that a hydrocarbon industry would emerge in the FI regardless of what Argentina says or does (which is a lot of talk and little action).

The next drill is going to be interesting as it has the ability to substantially increase the recoverable reserves.

Think this is really good news for Rockhopper investors and Falkland Islanders. Who would have thought these hardy souls have been sitting on an oil bonanza for centuries. Good luck to them.

    Chuckle chuckle…………………

Those news are soooooooo good that the marked reacted by dumping the share price by -4.50%

And please………. spare me all the whining about the “rest of the market falling in price” because of blah…blah… blah…………..............................

Plenty of AIM’s “sound oil companies” have kept stable share prices today and for the ones with authentic good news, the price went even up……….........................................................................................

Questions have been asked about whether there are sufficient quantities of viable oil to justify investing in infrastructure.
    The answer: -4.50% :-)))))

Marcos, as we are not at the stage of booked reserves the only ones asking any questions are numpties. Who is asking the questions? You?

Think - look at the volume of todays trading of RKH and take a look at when the buys occurred v sells. Looks to me like positions being taken and with money being moved in order to get percentage profit in other places in light of news flow accross the market. List me some of your other small cap E&P companies and let me explain the SP mvts.

Let us see where we are in 12 months and see who will be laughing all the way to the bank. Fancy a spread bet in it Think? BTW I got my hands on a few thousand more RKH shares at about 3:30pm and picking up some more on Wed. My limit orders picked up some when the price was between 200p and 230p.

Welcome to the new oil province and not an Argie worker on sight.

Think- I think Beef actually does know what he is talking about! You and I dont and I thought we agreed before that come the end of the year is when we will know if we can laugh at you - or you can laugh at us. So far nobody really knows for sure - BUT - the signs are looking pretty promising in our favour.- so far. Lets wait a bit yet.

    You say:
”I thought we agreed before that come the end of the year is when we will know if we can laugh at you - or you can laugh at us.”

    I say:
You have a very ”selective” memory…….. I can not remember any such ”agreement”….
Besides; I am not laughing............................. I'm chuckling..............

And I an smiling very contented. While there is so much short term risk aversion in play those with a mid to long term strategy cam find all that value in the small caps.

Buy on rumour, sell on news. That is how it is done in such a turbulent time, but buy and hold is a better strategy with some stocks. RKH is such a stock.

The only people on your knees will be you lot offering a blow in exchange for any bread crumbs off the table that is known as the hydrocarbon bonanza, such is your life, best you invest in some knee pads to prevent housemaids knee from all the service you'll be offering.

RKH is not a gamble anymore Marcos; it used to be but is an investment grade Expo conpany now.

The only ones begging in the Falklands were the Argies who were desperate to get home in one peice after their public embarrassment in 1982. The Islands are doing just fine without you and don't need Argentina to develop a HC industry.

Think- well actually I suggested it to you some months ago when you were already writing off Desire,RKH,FOGL/BHP etc etc - and chuckling!
Lets see who is laughing or chuckling by the end of the year- fair do?
Marcos-why would I ever want to do that?

Marcos is on form at the moment. He thinks Argentina is a super power has has leverage over the UK. Musn't be able to afford his medication at the moment. Either that or his medication has been conscripted for the use of his president.

20 and 21. I agree with you wholeheartedly, but do you not detect a recognition in what Marcos says that he actually accepts the Falkland Islanders right to self determination?
What will you Islanders do with all that oil money? Might be best to go ex-directory and get the Post office to intercept the begging letters from Argentina.

I don't know, maybe they'll pave the streets in gold, and erect a 4,000 ft high statue that flicks the finger at Argentina?

It really is up to them what they do with their wealth, I imagine that the immigration controls will maintain a flow of highly qualified people, and Stanley will expand. I also imagine that they will expand all the other small hamlets and villages into small towns, and introduce new high technology industries to increase the portfolio of their economy.

The road network will no doubt be improved further, they may expand all the single track roads into dual carriageways to improve transport links, a new deep water port would be on the cards, and they may even consider building their own oil refinery(s) if there's enough profit in it.

All Argentina is doing is creating the conditions for the Islanders to expand their own self-sufficiency, they will build or import the technology to support themselves, and to defend themselves, and they will have the money to do it.

I'm not sure what the Islanders might envision to be the link that they might wish to maintain with the UK, but whatever it is it will be the decision of the Islanders, no-one else, not the UK, South America, and certainly not Argentina.

More power to their elbow I say.
