Uruguay confirmed a second round of offshore lease bidding for hydrocarbons exploration next September. The country’s state run oil refining company ANCAP plans to offer 15 areas with sizes ranging from 2,300 sq km to 12,000 sq km, said sources from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining. Disclaimer & comment rulesNow I wonder how Argentinas offshore exploration in the Malvinas Basin....oh wait a second, they trashed their own oil companies offices and managed to get the leased exploration vessels owners to cancel the contracts.....Well who wants to operate in a country were a bunch of bearded old farts (like Martin aka Fernando Andreas) with dangerously high levels of testosterone go around trashing their own chances of oil riches in the South Atlantic on account of some rumour that the vessels were British :)
