    According to the ranking's webpage, there were actually 10 LatAm universities, 6 from BR, 2 from CL, 1 from ARG and another from MX. http://www.arwu.org/index.jsp

    I don’t care much about those comparisons about who’s longer, thicker etc. but……
    It’s with satisfaction that I can see our old beloved Universidad de Buenos Aires on the same level as other excellent learning houses like the:
    Universidade de São Paulo
    Dansk Teknisk Universitet
    Universität zu Köln
    Università degli Studi di Padova
    Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc…………………..
