“I still haven't received a complete explanation of what happened, she said after visiting with the head of Peru's Congress.” Poor woman, she seems to be so nice :(, no no no, this man is Ollanta, dear Ambassador of the United States of America! Expect more of this for the next few years.

Do you want to tell me that you have so little social responsibility, integrity and values towards the destabilising effect of the drugtrade - funding crime, human trafficing, mass murder, terrorist groups and destroying lives all over the globe in favour of populist political power.Your excuse? - helping the poor! Humala shows his colours!

the only way for Humala to be great amigoes with the US is when he allows the big banks, like Wells Fargo, to launder drug money and “help” controle the drug route. Why Wells Fargo? remember the story with Mexican drug cartels? So not, read it again.

by the way, it has been caught for the second time, but no punishment, and I always thought it never happened in so called “developed” nations.

Re 4 Fido Dido: Thanks for the link. I'm appalled, but not surprised.

Re Madame Ambassador's stance: When I first read her press statement, I considered her expectation of prior consultation and implicit right to provide her comments before the Peruvian Government policy was announced, to be typically American “high-handed” behaviour. After reading the Wells Fargo article, I consider her to be an absolute hypocrite.

I would love to learn of the contributions the U.S. are making toward funding alternatives for the coca growers, so they can feed their families while pleasing the Americans.
