Argentina signed contracts worth 444 million dollars on Wednesday with a subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin Group, Canada's top engineering firm, to extend the shelf-life of its Embalse nuclear plant. Read full article

A good choice, CANDU reactors would be my choice of fission plant.

Something about only needing to slightly enrich your fuel and not having a moderator that is in its normal state (i.e. not boiling water, liquid metal or molten salt) seems like not making things unduely hard for yourself.
