Venezuelan opposition lawmaker Neidy Rosal claimed before the country’s Prosecutors Office that an estimated 160.000 tons of food, in decomposing conditions, were being destroyed by the government’s Food Production and Distribution Office, Pvdal, in the state of Carabobo. Read full article

    Ahh, the fine tuned workings of the socialist paradise known as Venezuela. And to think it happened in the province named after Chavez, Carabobo... 160K tons of food is an unimaginalbe quantity that has been allowed to rot due to corruption and basic ineptitude.

    160 MILLION kilos of prime food only equates to 6kg per person over the year.
    The average Venezuelan will waste MUCH more food than that over the year.

    But this is losses on top of 'natural human wastage',
    and it is all in one place - so the local pollution load will be absolutely horrendous.
