The acting director of the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and the US attorney in Arizona are resigning over a botched operation to track the flow of guns to Mexico.The ATF' Kenneth Melson had recently faced pressure by Congress to resign. Read full article

This effort was an attempt at gun control in the USA. Flood Mexico with guns to escalate violence, blame gun shops. Restrict gun sales/purchases. Totalitarian states fear guns in the hands of citizens
