    @1 Artillero

    I second that.

On the plus side, if she gets the Republican nomination (which lets face it, ain't going to happen), she'd be the single greatest vote winner in the sane-and-normal-voter base that the Democrats will have ever had.

The prospect of this loon having access to the big red end the world button is too scary for all but the most politically partisan.

Seems good. Time for someone to be prepared to slap down countries trying to go beyond their intelligence, maturity and capability.

Wish it could be the UK. In the past 30 years we've slapped down Argentina (alone), Iraq (with the US) and Libya (with France). Time to rebuild our capabilities to the point where the only practical challenge would be from the US (not likely). Then we might get some reality, responsibility and peace.

Instead of having certain third world oiks flexing muscles they don't have. Are you listening, CFK?

Ron Paul is the last hope for this nation.

    Bachman is thinks she's Thatcher?
My god, I pitty those souls who support that clown. If she wins the GOP nomination or Rick Perry, then there is no more hope for this nation.

another one who thinks the world problems can be resolved with tough talk and bombs. thatcher has so much blood in her hands and people still praise her. when argentina recovered the Malvinas, not 1 local was harmed, not 1 british soldier was killed. all the rights stipulated in the Geneva convention were observed. and what did she do? she chose the path of weapons, killing, and destruction; instead of acknowledging that the main problem was the lack of dialogue and empathy.

@ 15 lol I can't believe what I'm reading “not 1 local was harmed, not 1 british soldier was killed, all the rights stupulated blah blah blah” a memory bug!!! “she chose the path of weapons” nitwit!!! Argentina invaded another people's property, what did you expect Margaret Thatcher to do? just lay back and relax as our soldiers took over the islands? Before that relations between the falklanders and argentines were really good, there was friendship, now look what we have? SH*T!!! Thank you :)

and all it takes is for argentina to give up the claim,
is that to hard to do ,
    to make people happy again,
instead of turning your own people into hatred of everything british,
that will last for generations to come .

Hatred is an essential part of life. If Argentina gave up its claim we would have to revert back to hating the Germans and I quite like them now.
No, I'm all for Argentina continuing to claim because as we all know claiming ain't getting.
BTW how's the oil that isn't there coming on, haven't seen any news on that in the last 10 minutes.
Back to more important matters - have Argentina named their team yet?

“not 1 british soldier was killed. ”

Yet you lost a few of yours, and almost a ship to our small squad. Your troops were crap.

“she chose the path of weapons, killing, and destruction; instead of acknowledging that the main problem was the lack of dialogue and empathy”

I believe it was Argentina who attacked the islands first. You can try and twist it as much as you like but Argentina invaded the islands and started combat. We simply defended our citizens.

    Admirals attack Harrier scrapping
    10 November 2011

A group of retired admirals has called on government to reverse its decision to decommission HMS Ark Royal and the UK's Harrier jets as set out in the Strategic Defence and Security Review.

The group made the call in a letter to The Times newspaper signed by former Royal Navy chiefs Lord West and Sir Julian Oswald as well as Vice-Admiral Sir Jeremy Blackham, Vice-Admiral John Mcanally and Major General Julian Thompson.

In the letter, the group say the decision to scrap the harriers is “strategically and financially perverse”, and could result in the UK losing the “newly valuable” Falkland islands.

The letter reads: ”In respect of the newly valuable Falklands and their oilfields, because of these and other cuts, for the next 10 years at least, Argentina is practically invited to attempt to inflict on us a national humiliation on the scale of the loss of Singapore.

and be supported by some of there indoctrinated bloggers, just insults and degrades all the decent argie people, but then again cowards have no shame.

    “tick tock tick.....”

Tick tock for what? Argentina states on every occasion that they won't invade. Infact, you're in no state TO invade. That Tick Tock Clock has been going for a good 180 years now.

I hope you're patient. Forever is a long time.
