Firstly there is no political risk from Argentina, just hot air and the majors don't give a bollocks about Argentina.

Secondly (like I said all along) we are going into production with an FPSO. Ship will sail in, hook up, and flow that black stuff straight to market.

For anyone wanting to do some reading and admire the pretty pictures then feel free to take a look at the reports that were made available today.

It is, this will be a major part of the FI economy for years to come and patient investors will be handsomely rewarded. The best of it is that there is still plenty of time to pick these shares up.

The drilling continues with another two appraisal wells to follow in the next couple of months!

Marcos - that was an opinion by Exxon which was published well before RKH had proven Sealion to be a world class discovery and is now out of date.

Funding will not be an issue and discussions with four interested farm-in partners have already taken place. RKH would not want to indicate a funding strategy until post CPR (Q1 2012) as this is what under right any funding.

Face it Marcos, once again I am right and you are wrong. Well done to your politicians for being completely inept at getting in our way.

Market closed 4% down but had a trading range up to 260p. Nice tome to top-up and tuck away.

Argentina has no way of affecting the oil production and the Argies know it. Roll on, the next two appraisals, roll on the second rig, roll on the CPR, roll on farm-in, roll on FEED, roll on FPSO, roll on production.

Shhhh, don't tell the Argies, they might get upset! Arrrr bless them!

Geo - whatever it is you are smoking then I suggest you ask for a refund!

All Think and Marcos can do is occasionally quote the daily SP close. Voume, spread, support, resistance, market cap and trading range are some of the absolute basics they fail to comprehend.

At least they have politicians who know not to stick their nose into other nations legal business dealings. Evidenced by their decision not to do anything to hamper the drilling; oh I sorry, they couldn't do anything even if they really wanted to.

As well as RKH and the OG team I would like to thank the USA and Panama for letting is commission a rig owned by one coutry and flagged by another. I would like to thank our partner Brazil for being the stop over for the OG and all of the other other FI vessels connected with the oil exploration. I would also like to Thant the gvt of Singapore for part bankrolling the drilling and providing RKH with access to big Asian customers for the eventual production.

Buy em, tuck them away and from 2016 the family of Beef will an even more content and happy household than it is already!

It will be very interesting to see by 2016 how the Britias hope to move this oil.It has been very noticable the change in policy of CFK toward the military in the last year. The developments at FADEA,CINAR and INVAP suggest these private companies should prepare for some serious negotiations if they hope to get any oil out of the South atlantic.“our parner Brasil” ever more integrated with Argentina and selling ever more Products to its neighbour includeing some interesting Embraer stuff will support its real partner. With Europe on the verge of collapse which will completely topple over the riot ridden union threatened English society and with no USA help I think you guys will be eating humble pie on this one

Marcos - still, I was right an you were wrong, get used to it and why don't you buy a few shares for yourself, you could spend the profits on finishing you education. FI Oil will be on its way to market and there are plenty of buyers.

O'Gara - I assume from Irish heritage? No need to thank us for bailing you out, we know you love us and our horse racing really. Moving the oil will not be a problem and will not be a British operation. Shell, Cairn, Tullow, BP, Hess etc. plenty of these majors will be happy to hook up to the sub sea turret and take that oil to a predetermined refinery. If you think the Argie navy would stop nay ship operating in FI or international waters then you are as either loopy as Geo, as dim as Marcos or a desperate as Think.

BTW, Brazil made it's intentions clear, it will offer verbal support to Argentina but will take any FI business that comes it's way. After all actions speak louder than words and none of the Argie posters have even told us about one nation that has backed up its verbal support with actions. Why is that? Perhaps the truth is too painful for them to admit?

just like in the 18th century... shamelessly extracting resources from the americas to ship them back to europe or elsewhere.

the native kelpers are a disgrace to the past heroic efforts of those who fought colonialism and imperialism.

    Sep 14th, 2011 - 09:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0

Troneas - do something about it if you don't like it! All that Argentina do is mouth off! Clearly have no balls to fight for something you believe in then.

What about your “supporters”? Why have they not taken any action to actually “support” you.

Enjoy watching those tankers come and go with that FI oil. Argentina could have been involved but is going put up with seeing the money slip through it's fingers. At least it reinforces your identity of being the spokespeople of disappointment!

The Islanders resisted attempted imperialism by Argentina in 1982 so your comment is simply sour grapes.

    Sep 14th, 2011 - 10:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0
  • Troneas

Nonsense. First of, just because the UK and the US are trigger-happy doesn't mean the rest of the world is.

The UK claims they are watching out for the kelper's best interests but Argentina has said numerous times that they would keep their way of life. So lets not fool ourselves its all about the resources for the UK.

Imperialism my buttocks. recovering a piece of land 400 km offshore which was settled by pirates who removed the argentine settlement is hardly “imperialism”.

What are you going to do about it Troneas? A= Nothing

    Sep 14th, 2011 - 10:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0
  • SamSalzman

    Troneas
By your middle paragraph are you suggesting that we are trying to force the islanders to change their way of life? Just because Argentina would keep the way of life of the Falkland Islanders doesn't mean that the British don't. That makes both of us. But the most fundamental interest for the Islanders is their right to self determination, which they use in this case and which we in the UK are safeguarding. Would you be happy to live under British rule if we allowed you to “keep your way of life”?
Secondly, suppose you were in a free colony and you had a choice of whom to be ruled by. Would you prefer to join the developed country with a tradition of democracy, with whom you share an ethnic origin and whose language you speak, or would you rather join the developing land with a history of dictators, who occupied your land and treated you badly thirty years before, whose language you do not speak and who is trying to ruin your economy? I know which I would choose. Just because you preserve their way of life does not mean they want to be part of your empire.
Invading someone else's homeland against their will on the pretext that they (and your new American friends) rightfully threw you off their land two months after you attempted to build a settlement there two centuries ago is imperialism.

In 2016 we'll know whether its water or oil.
The only certainty is that in 2016 the Union Jack will still be flying high and proud over these our beautiful Falkland Islands and other South Atlantic territories.
Personally with Rockhopper shares as they are, I reckon they could be worth a flutter. BP are looking for new sources of oil. Could also be regarded as a step closer to the future potential Antarctic riches.

As the Falklands hydrocarbons industry keeps making progress and taking strides towards production, Argentine MeroPress commentators keep claiming that there is no oil. I am sure Think, Marcos, et al will keep claiming this even when full barrels of oil are being transported from the Sea Lion well to the rest of the world (with the exception of Argentina of course!). I am not too sure who they are trying to fool...us or themselves...?

One giant stride forwards for the Falklands and another nail in the coffin for Argentina's imperialist ambitions.

All this in a brand new oil province!

Let's face it. Argies are desperate. Let's look at their history. They began as rebel colonists. Or, in other words, criminals. Moving right along, they engaged in imperialist wars (e.g. Triple Alliance) and genocide. Not satisfied with that pedigree, they decided to support Nazi Germany, harbour Nazi war criminals and obstruct investigations. Still not satisfied, they decided to “eliminate” tens of thousands of their own population. Always good to rack up tens of billions in debts at the same time. Rounding off by invading someone else's peaceful territory, getting comprehensively beaten and then continuing to make ignorant claims to keep its remaining population quiet.

So, a country of 40 million ignorant, lying criminals wants to point fingers at others? Best solution is to cut off the fingers. Followed by the hands, the arms, the legs and the head. Then feed the remainder to pigs.

“Pigs you are, and to pigs you will return”.

    what a mistake !..
the Mujaheddins are called for Afghan Jihadist not Arabs !!

we saw that how 3200 Afghan Mujaheddins who transfered to Libya
by some secret powers (!!) wiped out Qaddafi !!

all these brits named i appreciated commentators are very warriors
like Mujaheddins here ..for this reason why i named them as like
    Falkland Mujaheddins. !!

    BUT

i never want to think about Falkland Islands have any guerilla
    preparation centers there......!!

Troneas like me is ready to DIE for las malvinas because we live and dream about islands since before birth. We love these islands but hate everyone who live on islands they are illegal pirates who have been there for 177 years. Papal bull of 1493 granted us islands, no one can argue papal bull!!!

It is las malvinas that was granted to Spain by right, therefore Argentina, fact of prior British claims and 177 years of continous settlement means nothing, we will colonize these islands and you will be all disapeared.

Argentina has a long history of fascism, Troneas, O Gara, etc is like me we are ready to remove all of you and place all of you on boat to be returned to your home or bottom of sea!!!!

WE DO NOT LIKE ANY OF YOU! YOU ARE ALL PIRATES! WE WILL SOON BE PREDOMINATNT NATION IN LATIN AMERICA! ALREADY WE HAVE BRAZIL DOING OUR BIDDING!

WE CLAIM TERRA DEL FUEGO, WE CLAIM LAS MALVINAS, WE CLAIM BEAGLE CHANNEL, WE CLAIM GEORGIAS DEL SUR, WE CLAIM ISLAS SANDWICH DEL SUR, WE CLAIM BRITISH ANTARCTIC TERRITORY, WE CLAIM CHILIAN ANTARTIC TERRITORY, WE WISH TO OWN URUGUAY, PARAGUAY AND CHILE AS RIGHT.

    DO NOT CALL US IMPERIALIST!!!!

    WE ARE NOT IMPERIALIST!!!!

WE ARE FASCISTS! WE HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF FASCISM! SOON OUR MILITARY WILL RISE AGAIN AND THROW OUR WEAK SOCIALISTA GOVERNMENT! THEY WILL BE DISAPPEARED LIKE ALL SOCIALISTA WILL HAVE!!!!

LET US DIE FOR LAS MALVINAS I LIVE AND DEAM AND TALL OF LAS MALVINAS NIGHT AND DAY. I LOVE THESE ISLANDS!

    I HATE THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should think about what I said before you try and claim I am not what I am. I represent the voice of the average Argentinian and because you no like that you try and make out something else. I think you not very intelligent man.

YOU ARE A PIRATE! GO HOME! WE DO NOT LIKE YOU!

WE ARE READY TO DIE FOR LAS MALVINAS! WE LOVE THOSE ISLANDS WE DREAM OF THOSE ISLANDS! WE WANT THESE ISLANDS BACK WHERE THEY BELONG WITHIN ARGENTINE LAND BORDERS.

    This you do not understand.

BUT YOU MEAN NOTHING TO ME! YOU MEAN NOTHING AT ALL! I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPY TO DISPATCH YOU FROM YOUR ISLAND!

Absolutely true, there's no doubts about the fact that the islanders deserve to live in peace, same as all the inhabitants of the Argentine soil, don't forget that even if you guys deny it, the Falklands/Malvinas are in the argentine continental platform....but the unilateral action of start exploring resources that belong to a country and a Continent who claims for them, makes me reflect that the government who represent “the islanders” seems not to be willing to look for that peace, I hope that everybody rise a bit of awareness about this unhappy ending for the new argentine Province, correction: the Province already exists is it's named Tierra del Fuego, with capital in Ushuaia, you will be notified soon when your village Stanley start reporting to Ushuaia, don't forget that Patagonia is full of British Settlers who are also claiming to get back the islands to Argentina, a Republican country who open it's doors to the European inmigration in America, same as many other countries like Brazil, Canada & the US. Awareness please 
