This was a good opportunity to exercise some reciprocity, for once, in Chilean-Argentinean relations. Exchange one killer for another: Duret for Apablaza.
    Elementary, my dear Watson!

    Hi Philippe,

“I'll swap my right wing deportees for your right wing deportees”
“Or we could hang them where they are, and avoid the deportation publicity issues”

“OK, but what about deporting our left wing killers?”

“You send me six of your terrorists and I'll send you six of my terrorists - the last thing we want is too many people standing for President.”

Typical case of the “Government” intervention in a case where the Officer in question was brought to justice, DECLARED INNOCENT by the judge AND THEN the freaking “GOBIERNO DE MIERDA” appeals the decision and he ends up in jail for 15 years ???? This is a witch hunt , no doubt !

“The current president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández, has a vested interest in the case. Fernández, along with her late husband and former Argentine President Néstor Kirchner, attended Universidad Nacional de la Plata in the 1970s with Labolita when Argentina was under a military dictatorship.” - Totally untrue. The Kirchners had been married and departed from the university before the military took over. After they took over and Nestor was into politics, he praised the military government, especially as the Ks were becoming rich “down south”.

Phillipe, forget it... Apablaza is part of Kirchner's “presidential family”.
He will never be delivered, he's considered a saint over there.

”Mr. Apablaza is married to Paula Chain, who happens to be a member of President Cristina Kirchner press relations office at Government House (Casa Rosada) and usually accompanies the Argentine president whenever she travels overseas, the most recent trip was to Germany.”

Apablaza is just crap that must pay for his crimes.......one day or another.
Chilean Gvt has showed as always its innocence giving without receiving nothing
Mr. Piñereitor, you was wrong.....sorry, but never believe what Mrs Potox (or Botox) can say .....she always lies, she was born that way.....is her nature and nurture.

Who should we believe? Many in Chile think Apablaza is innocent.

Apablaza was officially head of the FPMR, a terror group (the only still left in Chile) who bombed and killed innocent civilians.

As an analogy, talking about “believing of his innocence” is same idiotic as believing of Pinochet's innocence.
It's quite obviou both have not made their hands dirty themselves but ordered others to kill...eventhough I am not to sure in case of Apablaza.

But let's stick to the subject here, Colonel Duret (somebody that I know personally) was found innocent initially but due to the pressure from the Government , he was given 15 years?

Why don't you all make it official that you will exterminate all members of the Armed Forces instead of playing the Justice thing .... Don't lie

22“Colonel Duret somebody that I know personally”

“Al recordar aquella breve conversación, Labolita señaló que Amicone, a quien conocía del barrio, ”me contó que los habían llevado en el mismo vehículo con mi hijo, y que a Carlos lo hicieron bajar en la Guarnición de Azul, donde fue recibido por Duret, que lo agarró a golpes y patadas y se lo llevó para adentro“.

What a coincidence! The proud Regimiento de Azul, someplace that ”I know personally”, under different circumstances.
