    And honour him they will,
    In the most proudest tradition,

Isn’t it great to be British,

I have difficulty naming any Argentine explorer of note, they are a bunch of johnny-come-latelys, and would sooner put their hand in your pocket and sell their grandmothers than do anything really honourable, in fact I can't see them ever doing anything that might be a little bit hard, requiring a bit of effort.

When you think of a famous explorer, one may thing of David Livingston, James Cook, Henry Stanley, Captain Scott, Christopher Columbus. Not those people.

And Marcos, since when was this a page about teeth? Are you going to start banging on about how we are “violating Argentine territory”, seeing as Argentine territory seems to stretch to just about anything south of the Equator?

@4 Marcos Alejandro At what point did it become apparent to you that your post had anything to do with this at all and contributed something intelligent towards the discussion of this page.....

Well that was enlightening, Ambrosetti was a guy who investigated the North West of Argentina, and dug a few holes. Moreno followed the Conquest of the Desert and 'discovered' and named everything, maybe if they hadn't killed everyone they could have asked them where things were, and what they were called. Scotto appears to have ridden a Motorcycle a long way, great. Sobral went outside Argentina and tagged along with the Swedish, studied in Europe, banged out 9 kids to a Swedish lass, and then helped his country attempt to establish its late 'claim' to Antarctica.

Such a creditable exploration team, they must be dead proud these RGs.

Cue Mercosur to complain about our “remilitarisation” of the South Atlantic.

Geo, I can't seem to recall hearing much about the Argentine team in this race...

l've just finished reading a book by Scotto. He rode a Honda Goldwing around the world for ten years & says he clocked up something like 450,000 kms.
    Actually wasn't a bad book.
Seems he was a bit of a casanova too! Or so he says.
Good luck to the boys trekking through British territory.
Stick a few flags here & there so the johnny-come-latelys realise whose territory it is!

Just try using nukes against us. We'll ensure you are still picking through the rubble of your urban centres half a century from now.

    Prat-Junta #17
Again, you want to kill people living peacefully on the Falklands, there no Malvinas.
If your coutry ever gets nuclear weapons and still exibits child like rages and tantrums like they do (with CFK just learning 'not to lose her temper') then guess what may well happen.
Just ONE Astute Class submarine could sit off the coast and destroy ANY target that we wished to in you country and you would not retaliate because if you did Argentina would be destroyed, never to recover.
    THOSE ARE THE 'FACTS'.
