errr why, given the fact that no mention of argentina or the sovereingty dispute is made and that falkland politics are not an argentinian issue, does this article appear under the argentinian news section of this site.
We do not get news on argentinian issues or non election based political news that is nothing to do with the falklands islands in the falkland islands section. So why put this article in the argentinian section of the site when it has nothing to do with argentina or the sovereignty dispute? Or is this just an attempt to provoke islanders/Brits and argentinian posters to flame war each other the sovereignty dispute on this article too?
Come on mercopress, you can do better than provoke flaming. You know some of us would actually like to be able to post on relevant news articles without having flame wars over the sovereingty dispute, when the article itself is nothing to do with said dispute. So why the hell try to provoke us?
Two seats disputed.
Don't misinterpret that headline, in the falklands that literally means two seats are being fought for.
One is wood, the other plastic.
Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is about to stick the Constitution of Argentina in her plastic *rse. When she does that the Republic of Argentina will cease to have a real existence, and will be just a mythical place somewhere in South America. From that moment it will take a decade, perhaps, and Argentina will be divided into small countries. I'll be more than happy, of course :) and it will happen, it's just a matter of time, the end of Argentina as we know it is starting in weeks :)
Thank you kirchnerists for making it possible :)
At least in Argentina we do have democracy, not like you. Might be as flawed as your metropolitan democracy, but we do have political parties and elections regularly and candidates don't run away to spend their holidays in Europenor get married in the UK.... This is nothing to blame on Argentina,, how will you survive then? How not to put the blame on Argentina on this serious problem entirely yours????
@12 Clearly you missed the bit in the webpage linked to in post #10 that makes it clear the UK is a FULL Democracy. i.e. we have elections we have numerous different polictical parties voted into power by the people of the UK. Although argentina has the same, the reason they are flawed is due to the way they do politics and interfere in ownership/control of businesses and try to prevent freedom of the press. In other words its argentinas regime like actions that make it a flawed democracy. We also do not have a prime minister that buys 20 pairs of the same shoes valued at $5,000 each. As per our polictians taking holidays, well i think you will find everyone that is employed in the UK is entitled to take holidays and there holidays are in line with everyone elses. Plus our politicians actually cut short their holidays to deal with major issues that come up after they have left for their holidays. Nor do our politicians try to indoctrinate us or people of foreign countries with lies and complete rubbish. Plus our politicians keep to their international agreements/treaties unlike argentinas politicians.

Nov 25th, 2011 - 04:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Pretty much any reason for Argentines to criticise our self-autnomous Government and Democracy. ;-)
Great democracy indeed...
Nov 25th, 2011 - 04:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You're not exactly in a position to lecture about democracy Alejandro, especially since Argentina has only had it since about 1983...

Nov 25th, 2011 - 08:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I agree with Teaboy1, this article has nothing to do with Argentina, and is clearly in the wrong section of Mercopress.
@ 8 it seems that Mercopress is on the side of Argentina and finally has accepted that the FI has everything to do with Argentina.
Nov 25th, 2011 - 09:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina is still not listed as a full democracy ! Just 'Flawed' :-))
