And this will change the outcome of the the word cup being awarded to Russia and Qatar, will it? I don't think so. If it does the 2018 should be given to England. But i suspect this is just a ploy to limit damage and basically nothing but a show off look we are doing something to but really we are not really doing anything about it.

@really why US, they had it in 1994, Holland and belguims bid fell by the way side. England has the stadiums and the infrastructure and is capable of holding a world cup with only a months notices. In otherwords we constantly have the capacity to hold such events without having to build new stadiums or train lines, or roads. Besides their is a perfectly good chance russia will not be ready in time.

For the record heres the current Fifa world rankings.

    1 Spain 1564 0 Equal
    2 Netherlands 1365 0 Equal
    3 Germany 1345 0 Equal
    4 Uruguay 1309 0 Equal
    5 England 1173 2 Up
    6 Brazil 1143 -1 Down
    7 Portugal 1100 1 Up
    8 Croatia 1091 4 Up
    9 Italy 1082 -3 Down
    10 Argentina 1067 0 Equal

Not looking so good for Argentina in the footballing world is it, especailly when you consider that we beat Spain only a few weeks ago. England are also the only team in the top 5 that is on the UP.
