The Uruguayan Foreign Affairs minister Luis Almagro described the Falklands as the last “colonial enclave” in Latin America, an ‘inadmissible’ situation and again denied any Argentine pressures on the issue.

“Argentine Sea” and/or fishing with licences extended by the Falklands’ government considered by the Argentine government “illegal”.
I think it is very clear!!!

OK, I get it. This is the same Argentinean Navy that used its helicopters to throw innocent men and women out over the international waters. Killing 30.000 of our own. And then got our patria humiliated in a wasteful non-winnable war to distract from our chaotic economy. And now Cristina is heading down that same road again. Economy tanking! MMhhh. I better start a conflict with the UK. Stupid gunt. Why has our rich and beautiful country been so soiled with its corrupt and incompetent leaders. Our nation is suffering from circular history syndrome. Those who don't learn from past mistakes are going to repeat them again and again. It's been 200 years now. Can we break the circle, PLEASE!

#2 - Quite correct, business as usual.

1837 – March, Luis Vernet attempts to impede a ship, the Elizabeth, from leaving Montevideo, however the vessel, offered protection by the British Navy vessel, Fly, flees Montevideo, albeit without regaining the ship's Register which is held by the port authorities.

    Nothing new :-)

What we really need is just one periscope pop up somewhere in the River Plate, made the Argie “navy” head home pretty quickly last time :-)

Sounds like Uruguay has lost patience with it's personalitiy disordered neighbour. If you want to keep an eye on those FI flagged vessels in Uruguay ports then you can do so here.

Marcos- sealing gaps???!!- evidently you cannot read! Uruguay has just made it 100% clear to CFK that there IS a right of free innocent passage (as under UN law) through Uruguyan territorial waters!

The Botox Queen really wants to be a Queen so she and her sleazy, supercilious mates can Rule for Life.
Looks like Argentina's pathetic attempt at democracy is about to go POP!
As for Uruguay, they are in a difficult position and we shouldn't hold it against them.

Makes me laugh, “the Argentine sea” indeed! Does it extend over to Africa too?
Time to stand up to these bullies.
    Uruguay needs our support.
A couple of destroyers should do the trick.
No shots accross the bow either, aim a bit lower.

Uruguay realises that they can't take on too many disputes(and especially not with Spain, who also happens to be an EU member and historical ally).
It makes you wonder what justification they can put forward for, on the one hand, shadowing a Spanish vessel and giving advice to avoid Argy 'radio harrassment' but then, on the other hand, banning FI flagged vessels?
There is no logic in these two positions.

Oh dear. Looks like Uruguay arent living up to their end of the deal!

@16 Beef, I did hear that this vessel was in Montevideo along with a handful of others. All of which did not experience any problems with the Montevideo port authorities.

REALLY! Well I never! I wouldn't like to bet on that one if Argentina keeps ragging the peaceful people of the Falklands (there are no Malvinas). Britain is has great patience up to a point.......(see, we can all use the period key!)

You just need a taxi to Nuñez for that, if you want to find some retired officers ready to start a “war” you should've joined them to an asado in Pomerania.

Its a really stupid attitude of Argentina. In the meantime the Uk gets the oil and the tertorial ownership..so what has argentina won sinc the last 200 years of propaganda to claim the islands? nothing but some small stupid victories of power ...and that is to say : onlu in argentine teritorial waters.. nothing to be proud of... its just ignorance .. the falklands will be at best an independent teroritory with shared waters...but the argentine trackrecord will not make it easy to share those interest as nothing shows any goodwill from argentina
