Like I said all along, this ban will not be implemented. Argentina has once again shown itself to adopt ineffective and wasteful policy and it is a bit embarrassing for these Argie nationalists.

The ships continue to come and go and this beauty is on the way to do more drilling!

Me thinks CFK has been trying to hide the fact that that wonderful budget surplus has all but been decimated with her social bribes for the electorate, an exemplary achievement in under a year considering it took Broon 4 years to do the same!

What does any savy politician do in Argentina when economic catastrophe is round the corner?....waves the Malvinas card!

Of course you can. It's suppose to be the birthday of Jezus Christ. You don't need to believe in him if you know he existed. Believing in God or that he's the son of god is another discussion.

The Falkland Island is one of the the lot of territories stolen by UK. All the people know that this country (UK) has a long list of territories stolen. Most of them for different reasons some day were returned. However UK didn´t returned the Falkland Islands yet. Because it is possible that some oil can be extracted there. All impartial people know that UK doesn´t have valid arguments to steal these territories. The arguments of UK are too weak to be believed. You need to know that there are a lot of people in several countries and continents that have realized of that since a long time ago.

“The measure ceases to have effect with a change of flag, it’s more symbolic than anything else”, said Diaz on Friday interviewed by a Montevideo radio. Changing to the English Red Ensign is enough... LOL

So when are they banning the Flag of French Guiana, since France rules the place?

What an inane statement to make by Alberto Diaz, the man clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

Rather funny really.... while the Falklands red ensign is a legal and internationally recognised flag there is no such thing as an 'english red ensign'..... english, welsh , northern irish and scottish ships fly the British red ensign.
In fact it is illegal in the UK to fly the english Cross of St George or the Union Flag as an ensign..

9jf- please tell me the names of territories stolen in the past by UK?

Please tell me which natural population did UK “steal” the Falkands from?
ou know very well that in 1833 there was her a small Arg military guard who had been here for some months only. Yes there were some dettlers who had been here for1-2yrs no more. You also know very well that ALL those settlers were invited to stay by the British in 1833 and ALL aprt from 2 couples did indeed stay! The only people evicted were the Arg military, those are docum, ented fact you can read in the historical records in B Aires.
Todays population here in the Islandsa can in many cases trace our ancestors back 6-8 generations to the 1840s - under the Un General Assembly Conventions we are thus entitled as p

The Union Flag (known as the Union Jack on a ship), is only normally flown on Royal Navy Ships on the jackstaff whilst moored, however, it is also shown on the jackstaff while underway if the Monarch or the Admiral of the Fleet is on board.

The only other instance a Union Flag can be flown on the jackstaff is when a court martial is in progress.

The Flag of St George cannot be flown on any vessel, civilian or military.

Of more interest is the courtesy flag, which is normally flown from a mast, this shows courtesy of the host nation.

So for example a Falkland Islands Red Ensign might be flown from the Ensign Staff, and a simplified and smaller Argentine Flag would normally be flown from a mast head when entering Buenos Aires.

Of course thats an example from an alternate reality these days.

    @19lslander1,
So the blood of the supposedly“expelled”, supposedly “Argentine” population flows in your veins? (although diluted by later British & other immigration).
Gives you an even more right to your lands.
    Beat that, you malvistas!!
The Falklands belong to the Falklanders & not you johnny-come-latelys!

    They perceive us as weak,
That’s why they are trying it on,
Problems at home, and all that wealth of the Falklands, is to much of a resistance,
The greed and lies spill from their false words,
And our belated response in the name of peace, encourages the hyenas to gather
If the islands were French or American or Russian, and a host of other countries, this would have been nipped in the bud,

But why has the British not responded more aggressively,
When we all know she still retains the power to stop the Argies in her tracks,
    Perhaps the words,
    They pushed once to often,
    And we responded,
They were warned, but like most children, they ignored the dangers,
Thus, they deserved what they got,
    End of full stop .

Isolde- you are most likley correct that their blood still runs,as the last one of those from 1833 died here around 1870 and is buried in Stanley cemetery. Cumputer siezed last post- was going on to say that after 1180 years of generations living anf born and dieng here there is NO doubt that we meet the UN criteria as a people entitled to Self Determination - and those who dispute it have a vey easy solution- the Int Court- but they are scared to go as they know they will loose there! Soinstead the bluster and shout and a nation of 40million threatens and bullies on of just 3000!

I would love to take a team of Argentine's and board a british pirat boat to show them how symbolic it is to us Argentine's, maybe UK didn't learn anything from the occupation of Palestine, too bad Argentina has only one jewish embassy and it still under renovations from last blast, I wonder what would happen if those terrorists aimed their bombs at british pirats ?

    Pirat hunter...
Your post looks to be of very deep thinking.
Problem is I am simple man, so please explain what the hell are you trying to say?
And above all, what has the palestinians got to do with this? or are they the real culprits ? Personally I am sure that Israel is!. The only solution, Give Falkands to Palestinians!

Perhaps Argentina would be better broken up,
Patagonia and Santa Cruz region [independent]
Rio Negro and chubut regions unite and independent .

Chile should assimilate, the regions of Neuquen, Mendoza san-Juan,
    -la- Rioja, catamarca and ugoman,

Bolivia should take the regions of [JUJUY] [Salta
    Paraguay, should take [Formosa][chaco][
And brazil should take the rest,
And the old Argentina, like her deluded dreams of empire, can just disappear for good.
